Emperor Tomb Village, the Library.
Dim yellow light perpetually shrouded the Library, yet the players inside could see everything clearly.
It was as though the entire space had been steeped in amber stillness, and the flow of time had been deliberately slowed.
Towering obsidian bookshelves stood in orderly ranks like silent guards, reaching all the way to the vaulted ceiling.
The books displayed on them were more like memory crystals containing vast amounts of information.
They sealed away the roars of ancient battlefields, chronicled the epics of lost civilizations, and recorded the whispers of ancient gods... bringing players memories that spanned the river of time.
The air carried a distinctive scent of spirit materials mingled with ancient books. Occasionally, a shelf trembled slightly, dropping a heavy volume that floated automatically over to a player who had finished searching and settled before them.
Fate Throat sat in the reading area deepest inside the Library.
His silver hair glimmered in the shadows, and the Forum interface hovered before him.
On it was the information about the Youlü Council he had compiled and edited from material gathered on the Forum.
Meanwhile, in the Guild Chat Channel.
"Fate Master, I'm about to upgrade my star meridian. Could I contribute a little less? Unlocking my fifth star meridian will significantly improve my strength, and my hunting returns will rise with it. How about taking a little less from me?"
"Fate Master, I don't mean any disrespect, but I only just saved enough sacrificial power to buy a fifth-generation critical hit life soul. If I give it all to you, I'll have to start over..."
"That's right, Fate Master. The Light Spirit Feather I just adopted still needs a batch of Evolution Pills to improve its combat strength. Could you give me a few more days?"
