Outside the Dungeon entrance, as large numbers of players were continually ejected on the brink of death, those who had been ready to enter lost their nerve. The difficulty of this instance had far exceeded too many people's expectations.
Still, some people held on.
At least several hundred thousand people had entered in the first wave. Even if nine-tenths were ejected, tens of thousands would remain. These were clearly the true elites!
Most players therefore chose to wait and see. There was no hurry to decide before all these first-wave elites came out and shared their accounts.
They did not have to wait long. A little over ten minutes later, the last of the first expedition teams were ejected for exceeding the time limit, and the forum instantly sprang to life again.
Players above level 10 appeared one after another to share their experiences, and almost all the news they brought back was positive.
First and foremost: as long as you could survive in the Dungeon, the rewards would never be poor!
Leaving experience gains aside and looking only at materials, someone posted a photo of equipment they had just crafted at the smithy immediately after their first run: a Black Iron Grade Sky Cuirass.
Sky Cuirass: a blue-and-white cuirass. Crafting recipe: one green magic crystal, three blue magic crystals, and 15 pieces of slug skin. Attributes: increases physical defense by 5.
For Black Iron Grade equipment, these attributes barely qualified as adequate. But this was a set piece, after all, and its value would continue to rise as more pieces were collected.
A complete Black Iron Grade set was no worse in attributes than an equal number of Common Grade equipment pieces.
More importantly, this player had obtained such a piece of equipment in just one run!
