Elsewhere, the Bone Dragon and the Manticore had encountered another Giant.
"I'll keep this Green Algae Head occupied. You rush past and attack the Giants behind it!"
Looking at the Giant charging toward them with a head full of dark green aquatic weeds, the Bone Dragon sent the Manticore a telepathic message, then plunged straight into the water, gliding swiftly along the surface like a sea snake.
Just as the two sides were about to close in, however, the distant Giant stopped, hovering over the sea. It opened its mouth and let out a piercing shriek that carried far into the distance, its sound waves even stirring up waves across the nearby sea.
"Who are you trying to scare, yelling that loudly?"
The Bone Dragon merely gave a contemptuous smile.
Its Star Level might not have been high now, but it had once been a genuine member of the Dragon Clan, after all. In terms of innate pressure, it had never been inferior to the God Race.
So while the Giant's roar might intimidate some small creatures, it was completely ineffective against a divine beast of its caliber.
The Bone Dragon swam rapidly underwater and soon approached the Giant. Its petrifying eyes quietly opened, ready to launch a surprise attack.
Yet the instant its head broke the surface, a beast's claw lunged down from above and slapped it across the crown.

The Bone Dragon howled, feeling a series of crisp cracks run through its skull. Countless particles of bone dust fell away as its entire head was shoved back underwater.
The Bone Dragon quickly recovered, circled once underwater, then burst through the surface again, glaring furiously at the Manticore blocking its path.
