Bang!
The Lizard Man's immense strength left Gwen with almost no way to fight back!
Peter merely swung a claw, and the reinforced concrete crumbled before him like tofu, exposing the rebar inside, which was nearly snapped in two!
"Hiss-!"
Those slit pupils stared straight at the white figure in the darkness, reason mixed with the instincts of a beast.
No one knew what he saw. He just kept swinging wildly-such a strange sight, like a lizard trying to catch a butterfly!
That was the strange part-why would a lizard try to catch a butterfly?
Gwen dodged the claw and landed on the ground. The Lizard Man charged straight at her like a tank, his massive body easily crashing through the wall and crushing everything in his path!
Gwen's eyes widened-
How could this be? How?
Even in the middle of the fight, too many things she couldn't understand surfaced in her mind, only to be interrupted again by that strange feeling-
While she was distracted, the thick tail slammed hard into her chest!
Bang!
She had already tried to dodge, but in the darkness, she couldn't see the Lizard Man's tail.
Or rather, in the darkness, her vision and senses had become extremely strange. She still hadn't adjusted to them!
The spikes tore through her suit, leaving a shallow scratch. Facing the powerful Lizard Man, Gwen felt helpless-
If she didn't know this was Peter, she would have used everything around her to subdue the beast. But he was her best friend!
How could she be sure she wouldn't go too far? He was a person, after all, not a real monster!
