[Interactions in another world]
[Jackie: Lier, got a spare bed at your place? Uh... my mom saw me on TV. Guessed it was me, to be exact. Can I crash at yours for a couple of days?]
[Lier: I've only got one bed, but you can sleep on the floor. There's plenty of space in the apartment.]
[Jackie: Thanks, bro. XD.]
[Lier: Don't thank me yet. The stolen medicine and vaccines are in the storage room. Get five cans of slow-release agent and ten vaccine doses out for me, and have Roshan come pick them up.]
[Jackie: No problem. Still gotta thank you, though. My mom was furious when she found out. I almost ended up sleeping on the street.]
In the end, Lier still hadn't seen Gwen Stacy-he had no idea what the girl was busy with.
But he wasn't some fanboy here to chase celebrities. After getting a rough idea of what George wanted, Lier said goodbye and went home to keep refining the first version of his cross-dimensional data barrier.
The server hosting the tool AI was kept in a separate room, isolated from the internet. It could essentially go nowhere beyond that little room.
The traces of their entry into Santo Domingo, their trip to the Badlands to rob the Sixth Street, the hacking at Rama Arsenal, the hacking in Arroyo...
Along every route they had taken, Lier had left linking software on any devices that might have captured traces of them.
All their trails were linked together, forming pathways leading to this data barrier.
In the cyberpunk world, as long as the physical equipment remained undamaged, netrunners could search electronic devices for clues.
But from now on, all these devices Lier had hacked would send out misleading commands, targeting a server in a different world.
