It was an extremely understated description. Su Yu, who had only recently redeemed it, had originally thought it was simply an item that sharpened a player's senses. However, with help from the person who had helped him enter the Ghost Story Game...
He had tried [Pleasure and Pain] once.
And then... he had finally understood why this Band-Aid-like thing had such a strange name.
It did indeed amplify human sensitivity. When he activated it, Su Yu felt his senses grow countless times sharper!
Sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch-he could smell odors he normally could not detect, see the patterns on the wings of insects flying past his eyes, and hear the heart of the person before him pumping blood. He even gained a wondrous premonition that words could not describe! It was as though he could tell, to some degree, what would happen in the next second!
The sensation was addictive. He had practically become a real-life superman!
But when that person gave him a light pat, Su Yu nearly passed out on the spot.
It hurt...
It hurt so much!
It was not just pleasant sensations that were amplified. Unpleasant ones were too. That light pat had hurt so badly that Su Yu's forehead broke out in sweat!
Only after taking a couple of steps did he discover that every step he took in that state felt like walking barefoot on hard pebbles, aching and itching at once. The tiny pains and faint tingling numbness he normally never noticed were now all transmitted to the sensory nerves in his brain in exquisite detail.
In everyday life, a normal human brain did not need to process so much information at once.
