He stared in bewilderment at the crater before him, where not even a fragment of an array stone remained. He could not understand what had caused this. Even destroying the Grand Formation should not have left the place so clean!
He clenched his fists, his knuckles whitening with the force. A terrifying aura radiated from him, making the surrounding air congeal.
"Whoever you are, you dared destroy my Birth-and-Death Array. I will make you pay a terrible price!" Nalan Jiede said through gritted teeth.
He closed his eyes and began sensing the lingering aura of the Birth-and-Death Array, hoping to find some clues about its destroyer.
But a moment later, he discovered to his shock that no aura had been left on the array, as though no Spirit Power had ever been used.
"That shouldn't be possible! Could they have used an extremely rare Special Treasure?"
"But even so, how did he pinpoint the Birth-and-Death Array's location?"
Nalan Jiede could not figure it out. Once might have been a coincidence, but twice in succession meant someone was deliberately targeting him.
"Fine, fine, fine. Then I shall wait for you at another Birth-and-Death Array."
"I want to see who has the nerve to touch what belongs to me, the Killing Emperor Jiede!"
Naturally, Yun Che did not know that the Killing Emperor, Nalan Jiede, had left a trace of soul consciousness on that earlier Birth-and-Death Array.
The Killing Emperor had already detected his destruction of the Birth-and-Death Arrays and was now inside one of the Grand Formations, waiting for him to walk into the trap.
