Everyone held back their laughter and stared in puzzlement at Jiang Heng's slightly flushed face.
By then, Jiang Heng had searched his storage ring with his spiritual senses over and over, but there was still no sign of the Flying Boat. He was utterly dumbfounded.
How could it be gone? This made no sense! I rode it here earlier and put it away less than ten minutes ago. How could it have disappeared?
Could it be that the storage ring had a leak, and the Flying Boat fell out somewhere?
But even if it fell out of the storage ring, it should have immediately turned back into a Flying Boat!
Besides, how could a storage ring possibly leak? That made no sense at all.
"Does your Flying Boat happen to have an invisibility function? How come I can't see it?"
After saying that, Yun Che headed straight for the registration desk, drawing a burst of laughter from everyone.
"What did you say? Say that again if you have the guts! I'll tear your mouth apart!"
Humiliated and furious, Jiang Heng looked as though he really might march over and beat Yun Che up.
Ye Qingshuang stepped sideways, blocking Yun Che as she stared coldly at Jiang Heng.
"If you so much as touch him, I'll tear your mouth apart too."
"Ye Qingshuang, have you forgotten that my father is a Late King Realm expert and the grand elder of the Divine Sword Sect? Do you have a death wish?"
Before Ye Qingshuang could answer, Yun Che released the Silver Shuttle, its surface shimmering with radiant light. Everyone's eyes filled with wonder and envy.
"What a beautiful Flying Boat! Just what grade is it?"
Yun Che waved a hand in front of the somewhat dumbstruck Ye Qingshuang and smiled. "Stop staring. Let's go! Don't bother with this bragging idiot."
Ye Qingshuang nodded gently, her eyes brimming with amusement. Before boarding the Flying Boat, she even cast a meaningful glance at Jiang Heng, whose face was crimson, though he could find no retort.
"You..."
Jiang Heng understood the meaning in Ye Qingshuang's eyes. She was clearly saying, With that being all you have to offer, you still had the nerve to propose to me?
-Pfft!
He couldn't hold it back!
He simply couldn't!
It was as though he couldn't breathe unless he spat out the blood pent up in his chest.
"Ah! You damned bastard! How dare you mock me! I'll make sure you die a horrible death!"
After raging around the Falling Moon Spaceport for a while, Jiang Heng leaned over the registration counter with bloodshot eyes and demanded, "Tell me! What grade of Flying Boat did he register?"
The clerk was only an ordinary person and didn't dare defy him in the slightest. He hurriedly replied, "It was... it was only low-grade."
At that, Jiang Heng couldn't help coughing up another mouthful of blood. Pointing toward where the Silver Shuttle had long since vanished, he shouted.
"Do you fucking think everyone else is an idiot? Low-grade! How can you even say that with a straight face?"
Inside the Silver Shuttle, Ye Qingshuang was taken aback by its luxurious interior. It hadn't looked particularly large from outside, yet within lay a spacious secluded paradise.
It had everything: residential courtyards, training grounds, and even a small pond for leisurely fishing. It didn't feel like the inside of a Flying Boat at all.
Ye Qingshuang asked Yun Che, who was sitting beside the pond and picking up a fishing rod as though preparing to fish, "Just what grade of Flying Boat is this? As far as I know, even the imperial family's vessels aren't this extraordinary."
Yun Che pointed at the open-air kitchen nearby and smiled. "If you, Dean, would make some of your specialty tea snacks, I, your Vice Dean, will tell you."
Ye Qingshuang rolled her eyes at Yun Che, but she didn't refuse. She actually headed toward the kitchen.
Halfway there, however, she suddenly asked, "Am I... the first person to board this Flying Boat?"
Yun Che didn't quite understand why she would ask that, but he still answered, "Yes. Apart from me, you're the first person to board this Flying Boat."
"Mm." Ye Qingshuang nodded gently, a smile unconsciously curving her lips.
In Falling Moon City, Qin Keyi and Lu Xiuwen had just returned to the Qin Prince's Residence.
Qin Yelan's face lit up when she saw her older sister return, but when she noticed a seemingly quite handsome man accompanying her, she was a little bewildered.
Could my sister and brother-in-law have already agreed to each have their own fun and stay out of each other's way?
When Lu Xiuwen saw Qin Yelan, a flash of admiration crossed his eyes. They really are sisters. Both are beauties who could topple kingdoms.
"Yelan, how is Father?" Qin Keyi asked.
"He hasn't woken up yet, but Divine Doctor Sun said it should happen in the next day or two."
"Sister, who is this?" Qin Yelan then asked in puzzlement.
"He's my senior fellow disciple, Lu Xiuwen. It was thanks to him that I was able to leave the Sacred Profound Sect early this time."
"But if I haven't advanced by one minor stage before I return, I'm afraid Master will punish me."
A hint of helplessness entered Qin Keyi's voice as she said that.
Lu Xiuwen cupped his hands slightly toward Qin Yelan and asked with a gentle smile, "Why don't I see your brother-in-law? I'm very curious to see what sort of man could win Junior Sister Qin's heart."
Qin Keyi said, "At this hour, he should still be at Falling Moon Academy. He's only a scholar, so you probably wouldn't have anything in common to talk about. There's no need to meet him."
Qin Yelan parted her lips. She wanted to say that the scholar her sister spoke of was actually very powerful now-powerful enough to have slain a King Realm expert. Unfortunately, Qin Keyi gave her no chance to speak.
"Yelan, I'm afraid I can't wait for Father to wake up. I'll visit him, then leave."
Qin Yelan frowned slightly. "Do you have to leave so soon?"
Qin Keyi nodded helplessly. "The Sacred Profound Sect's inner disciple assessment is in six months. I want to fight for a place in the top ten. Only by making the top ten can I enter the Sword Pool and comprehend my own sword intent."
Qin Yelan nodded. No one could stop her sister's pursuit of the pinnacle of swordsmanship, so there was nothing she could say.
"I understand. Should I pass a message to my brother-in-law?"
Qin Keyi hesitated briefly, but ultimately shook her head. "No. Knowing he's safe is enough."
"All right, I'll go see Father first. Afterward, Senior Brother Lu and I will take a Flying Boat to the Eastern Sea and train along the way back to the sect."
Qin Yelan's beautiful eyes widened slightly. Why are you two going to the Eastern Sea for your date too? Did you all plan this together?
In an underground cavern deep in the Wuxia Mountains, the Four Little Strongmen—Wang Feng, Miao Zheng, Xie Sanlang, and Gu Nala—were trying to control a terrifying demon with two heads and three pairs of fleshy wings.
The demon was at the Late King Realm. Had the chains binding its limbs and neck not been exceptionally powerful, the four would likely have already been reduced to a cloud of bloody mist.
Gu Nala's face was deathly pale. Its aura frightened her so badly that her limbs felt weak.
"Why don't we just forget it? If it gets out of control, not only will Falling Moon City be doomed, but we'll probably die too!"
Xie Sanlang frowned. "We've already come this far. If we give up, won't all our efforts have been wasted?"
By contrast, Miao Zheng, who had originally proposed the idea, also suggested abandoning it. "Family Head Gu is right. I didn't expect this beast to be so difficult to control. We're only at the Grandmaster Realm. The slightest mistake will doom us beyond recovery and turn us to ash."
Wang Feng's eyes were bloodshot. He seemed to have yet to recover from the theft of his treasury. In a hoarse voice, he said, "Keep trying. This beast is bound tight by those chains. What are you afraid of? If ten attempts won't do, then try a hundred. If a hundred won't do, then a thousand. As long as we can control it, won't we be able to do whatever we want afterward?"
Just then, Gu Nala suddenly raised a question that left the three men rather embarrassed.
"But even if we successfully control it, we can't cut through these chains with the swords we have!"
