"Zhizhi, why's your face red?" Yao Beibei asked curiously.
"N-nothing." Zhang Ningzhi fanned herself with her hand. "The group run was too hot."
"True. I wish I could reach inside and wipe the sweat off right now." Yao Beibei really was the pride of Asian women. "Babe, don't you... sweat?"
Zhang Ningzhi wished she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into. She never wore anything that showed off her figure, but against Yao Beibei's curiosity, it had only taken a few days for her measurements to become common knowledge.
"Beibei, stop talking. I don't understand."
It was finally almost Class Three's turn.
Jiang Nian was still chatting with Li Hua and Ma Guojun. They had been talking about games until someone asked which websites had the good stuff, and the conversation suddenly veered off course.
"Man, my iPhone can't open loads of sites." Ma Guojun sighed, then turned to Jiang Nian. "Hey, do you use an iPhone too?"
Jiang Nian thought for a moment, then nodded. "iBehave myself."
Ma Guojun: "..."
Ease up on the terrible memes, kid. They'll dock your pay.
The big guy was speechless. "Boss, can't you act a little cooler instead of being this weird? Cracking awful jokes all day-you're wasting that handsome face."
He realized Jiang Nian was bad news, and apparently capable of getting even worse.
When Class Three was dismissed to return to their classroom, everyone straggled toward the exit. Students from three classes mingled on the stairs, forming a dense crowd when viewed from a distance.
The science Olympiad classes were all close together, and Xu Qianqian's class was ahead of Jiang Nian's.
The two groups converged. Xu Qianqian was holding hands with Song Xiyun when she suddenly felt someone pat her head lightly. She instinctively turned and saw a familiar face.
The flutter of a teenage girl's heart spread along the stairs beside the ivy-covered wall of the sports field, until...
Jiang Nian: "Ribbit!"
Xu Qianqian lost her composure instantly, her face flushing red. "Get lost!"
"Ribbit!" Jiang Nian walked away grinning. "Ribbit."
Song Xiyun was completely desensitized to Jiang Nian by now. During the National Day break, she had spent two hours copying his English homework until her hand went numb, yet she still had no choice but to listen to him.
"Qianqian, what were you two talking about?"
Since the joke belonged to just the two of them, Xu Qianqian could only recover quickly and make up an excuse to avoid embarrassing herself any further.
"Don't mind him. A fever fried his brain when he was little. Whenever he had an episode, he'd follow me around calling me Mommy. I couldn't take it, so I shoved a frog into his mouth. Now he's stuck with the aftereffects."
"He stopped saying Mommy and started saying ribbit."
Song Xiyun didn't understand, but she was deeply shocked. Wait, did you two really play such messed-up games as kids?
Before they entered the classroom...
Jiang Nian tapped Zhang Ningzhi on the shoulder. "Lend me your big white math book-the revision workbook-to copy from during class."
Almost instantly, the panel popped up with a ding.
[Quest: Reestablish contact with your ex-girlfriend Zhang Ningzhi after losing touch for many years. Reward: 300 RMB (completed).]
"Okay, but isn't the next lesson English?" Zhang Ningzhi asked curiously.
"What difference does that make?" Jiang Nian felt no pressure whatsoever. Instead, he looked puzzled. "With this much homework, isn't that what we're supposed to do?"
There was so much math homework, and he had already memorized everything for English. A little NTR on the English teacher wouldn't hurt.
During English class...
Storms could strike without warning. Spend enough time by the river, and sooner or later your shoes would get wet.
"Jiang Nian! Come up to the front and translate this reading passage." The English teacher studied him with an expressionless, appraising gaze.
You little punk. NTR, huh?
Reading passage? Where? In the textbook, on a test paper, or in some obscure little workbook?
Completely bewildered, Jiang Nian instinctively looked at his deskmate, Li Hua.
Oh, so it's in Dragon Raja III: Black Moon Tide. "We're all little monsters"-can't keep that grin off your face, huh? Go on, laugh. You won't be laughing when you're sharing a snake kiss with Herzog in the Red Well.
Li Hua was no help.
As Jiang Nian slowly stood, he glanced behind him and saw Ma Guojun putting away his chemistry homework. Great, just great. Society's finest.
Even the top students in the Olympiad class acted like this. What an eye-opener.
Every break, they fussed over one another, calling each other "Daddy" and making strange noises. They were having the time of their lives, all while continually inviting new members into their harems.
Mr. Emotional Intelligence is reading Dragon Raja, and Mr. No Manners is doing chemistry. Wonderful. Without you two, Olympiad Class Three would be like the sporting world without Stephen Hawking.
There was only one option left.
Baby Zhizhi, you wouldn't want the English teacher to catch me copying your math workbook, would you? Exposed in front of the whole class-your first taste of humiliation.
He looked at Zhang Ningzhi. She had already shifted aside to reveal the second reading passage on her fully completed English test paper.
He immediately remembered. This was the little test the English teacher had handed out yesterday. He rummaged casually inside his desk. Ha. Not a single word written.
"Come up here! What are you standing around for?" The English teacher kept her face stern. I'm a pure-love fan. I hate NTR more than anything, and you've got the nerve to do another subject's homework right in front of me.
Zhuang Wenqian wore a pale yellow dress. She was fairly young, twenty-eight, and had a child: an exquisitely cute little girl she had once brought to the classroom during evening study.
Because she was good-tempered, nobody in the class was afraid of her. They called her Qianbao.
Jiang Nian edged out of his seat. As soon as he reached the front, Qianbao noticed his paper was blank. She immediately became furious, her delicate brows drawing together, but she held back from exploding.
"Why didn't you do the test?"
"Miss, I couldn't find my paper," Jiang Nian said calmly. "This is my deskmate Li Hua's. He even tried to hide it, but I found it."

Down in the classroom, Li Hua couldn't sit still anymore. "Slander! He's slandering me!"
Qianbao put her hands on her hips. "Then where's your paper?"
Li Hua's face froze at that. If only I could do it all over again...
His paper was blank too.
Last night, he had asked Jiang Nian whether he was going to do it. Jiang Nian had looked scornful. "Death to the foreigners! What self-respecting person does that stuff? Are you doing it? I'm definitely not."
Li Hua had wholeheartedly agreed.
I've been writing essays to the United Nations and all sorts of foreign friends since primary school. Why bother with a measly English assignment? I'd rather read about Erii.
Exactly. I'm not doing it either.
An awkward silence settled over them, and Qianbao grew even angrier.
"Look at you two! Is this acceptable?"
Sitting in the first row of desks, Yu Tongjie looked up at Jiang Nian at the front. Almost without warning, he suddenly asked the girl beside him a question.
"Do you know what Jiang Nian got in English on the placement test?"
His deskmate was startled. She and Yu Tongjie had practically nothing to talk about. She was used to him answering questions loudly during lessons and silently reading during breaks.
Faced with this sudden attempt at conversation, she didn't know how to respond.
Yu Tongjie didn't mind her silence. He suddenly called out, stirring things up.
"Miss, Jiang Nian scored 141 on the last test. Even without doing this one, he should still be able to translate it."
The moment he finished, the classroom fell silent. The girl beside him looked utterly bewildered.
Wait, we were all just watching adorable Qianbao get all angry.
And you shouted "Battle power, third stage"?
