"What's going on?" Nazgrim temporarily cast aside what had just happened. An enemy attack at night was nothing unusual, but the moment he saw flames soaring into the sky outside Orgrimmar, a bad premonition weighed on his heart.
The Orc general climbed the wall in a few strides. The soldiers were in disarray. Nazgrim could scarcely believe they were Kor'kron. He shoved aside every soldier in his way before reaching the edge of the wall. Thick smoke poured from the Iron Star, and his expression changed dramatically.
Land mines had originally been buried around the war machine, both to keep enemy engineers from approaching to sabotage it and to serve as an alarm. Yet they had still failed to prevent a surprise attack.
The flames illuminated Orgrimmar's gate. Nazgrim saw Vol'jin and his followers cheering.
With his back to the guards, Nazgrim raised his weapon high and shouted beyond Orgrimmar's gates, "You haven't won yet!"
The soldiers atop the gate gradually calmed down, and the enemies below stopped cheering as well. Everyone looked at him.
"Even if you destroyed it, the gate still stands. You'll never capture Orgrimmar!" Nazgrim's words were also meant to remind the Kor'kron defenders that they had not yet lost. The Iron Star's sole purpose was to keep enemies from approaching the gate. Though it had now been destroyed, if they slightly increased their firepower beneath the gate, this gap would immediately be covered.
As long as the enemy could not approach the gate, they could not win. That was Nazgrim's belief.
Then, all of a sudden, he noticed Vol'jin smiling. Sweat seeped into his palms.
An angry roar drew his attention. More than a dozen beasts suddenly charged out from the shadows beside the gate, where they had been carefully hiding behind the barricades.
"Anu'dora!"
