"A wanted fugitive? Isn't that taking the joke a little too far?"
A viewer named Xiao Liu jumped into the chat.
Xiao Liu: "I've been holding back for ages. When this streamer told the first person's fortune, he was already putting on a mysterious act, claiming the girl that guy liked had died long ago. Fine, I let that slide. They'd been out of touch for who knows how many years anyway, so he could say whatever he wanted. But the second and third people were obviously actors, okay? Anyone with half a brain wouldn't believe this!"
Once someone started stirring things up, some of the Livestream Viewers began chiming in.
"Exactly. This streamer gave way too many details. So many that there's no way it wasn't scripted. You're not going to tell us you're some kind of immortal, are you? Knowing everything before it happens isn't fortune-telling. It's divine magic."
"I noticed it too. All three actors were following scripts, and the fourth slot was added at the last minute, right? So the streamer didn't have a fourth scam prepared and made the third person win again. Wasn't this whole script just meant to get everyone entering the giveaway? He doesn't scam people out of big money, just small amounts, and the idiots getting scammed are still calling him an honest streamer."
Xiao Liu: "Ha! A wanted fugitive? I'm dying here. Let me ask everyone one question: if you were a wanted fugitive, would you dare openly date someone? Fine, even if you did get a girlfriend, you'd do everything possible to hide it, wouldn't you? And that girl was ridiculous too. How could she even come up with nonsense like 'shuddering with dread' and 'a chill rising from deep inside'?"
Xiao Liu: "And telling fortunes from a photo? Give me a break. Then why don't you divine the whereabouts of all those missing children and wanted criminals in Huaxia? Some fugitives have million-yuan bounties on their heads. You'd already be rich, okay? Would you still need to scam gifts out of people here???"
Xiao Liu: "Don't tell me you're not streaming for money. Bullshit. If you really aren't doing it for money, stop accepting rockets, okay? You could donate the money you make too, couldn't you?? Since you're clearly doing this for money, answer me: why aren't you catching wanted criminals?"
"Awesome. This guy's making perfect sense, and every point fits! Stop lying, streamer, and get lost! And you moderators are all in on it. Hell, you might just be the scammer's alt accounts. Yeah, I'm insulting you. Scammer. Trash. Kick me if you want."
Lord Purple: "You people are seriously sick. So the master has to live on air and isn't allowed to earn money? And he has to donate everything he earns, or he's a scammer? Unbelievable. These days, even making money through your own abilities without stealing or robbing anyone gets you attacked, huh?"
Tang Xiaoxiao: "You blame the road because you can't walk, and you call the master's work scripted because you're ignorant. By your logic, everyone in this world with any real ability is a scammer. You're only attacking him because he did something beyond an ordinary person's understanding. So if you went back a few hundred years and told people there would be airplanes and rockets in the future, that would make you a scammer too?"
"Xiaoxiao's got next-level insight! What a comeback!"
"I've got something to say to Xiao Liu too. You're really good at stirring things up. Here, have the title 'Rhythm Master'! Missing children? Wanted criminals? First off, how do you know the master hasn't already looked into them? You're just guilt-tripping him, aren't you? 'Because the master has the ability, he has to do it'? Then why don't you tell the government to pay him a salary? Why don't you ask them to establish a fortune-telling department? You're killing me!"
"Let me add something to the comment above. If the master doesn't make a name for himself first, neither the government nor the police will believe him, even if he wants to do good and use fortune-telling to catch fugitives. And there'll be countless morons like this attacking him anyway!"
"I think it's the master's fault that Huaxia hasn't united the world or conquered the galaxy too! After all, he hasn't used fortune-telling to divine all of Huaxia's enemies to death!"
"Oh! Now the truth comes out!"
Xiao Liu was kicked out of the livestream.
Li Er was kicked out of the livestream.
Lord Purple: "Enough, everyone. Just kick them. Stop mocking them too. Trying to reason with people who attack him just for the sake of it only lowers your IQ!"
Lord Purple: "Anyone throwing insults or stirring things up gets kicked, kicked, kicked. If you don't believe the streamer, leave on your own. Don't stay here being an eyesore. Aren't you tired of being annoying?"
Lord Purple: "What business is it of yours if the streamer tells fortunes for his loyal fans? Did you spend a single cent? Even if we go all the way and assume he's a scammer, we're happy to be scammed. How does that bother you? Do you think you're Earth's guardian? Why don't you go fight monsters and protect world peace?"
"Our queen is mighty! Well said!"
"All right, everyone, calm down. Miss Sun, let's continue. Most of the Livestream Viewers are still reasonable. Right now, we should focus on catching that fugitive."
"Exactly! Once we catch him, these trolls will see what the master can really do!"
Tang Xiaoxiao: "Everyone questioning the master, shut up. Wait until he's caught the fugitive before you say anything. If I weren't on a train right now, I'd track down these haters and slap their faces raw!"
Sun Luo: "Master, what should I do now? My best friend really likes that man. I don't think she'll believe her boyfriend is a wanted fugitive."
Xiao Yu: "That's all right. There's a Police Beauty in my fan group. I'll invite her to watch the livestream and ask her what we should do. Catching bad guys is her specialty."
A short while later.
[User Yi Shuihan entered the livestream]
A video call connected immediately afterward.
A woman in casual clothes appeared, clearly out shopping.
"Master Xiao, what's going on? I'd finally gotten off work and was just about to go shopping with my best friend, but you dragged me into your livestream!"
"My wife's here! Honey, we need to report a crime!"
"Police Beauty, we want to report a crime! The master found a wanted fugitive through fortune-telling! He specifically invited you here to hand you the credit!"
Yi Shuihan typed a line: "What do you mean, wife? Anyone who talks nonsense is getting hauled in to reflect on their behavior! I'm still an unmarried maiden. Don't ruin my reputation!"
Meanwhile, Liu Shan herself asked curiously, "Master Xiao, what exactly happened? Who drags a police officer into a livestream instead of calling 110 to report a crime? Tell me the details."
Xiao Yu didn't even need to explain. The Livestream Viewers filled her in, all talking over one another. They also asked her to help prove that Xiao Yu was a genuine master, livestream the entire arrest, and confirm that the man was a wanted fugitive.
Liu Shan: "It's a little outside normal procedure, but that shouldn't be a problem. After all, Master Xiao provided the lead himself. If we really catch a wanted fugitive, he'll have made a major contribution, and of course I'd be happy to help clear his name."
Liu Shan: "Keep the livestream running, young lady, and hide your phone, but turn off the speaker. Then ask your best friend and her fugitive boyfriend to meet you. I'll contact the local officers and have them get into position beforehand."
Liu Shan: "Once we bring him in and check his identity, we'll know within minutes whether he's really a wanted fugitive."
