As long as she was still here, that was enough. Her going out to have fun felt completely different from the uneasiness of her returning to the book, with two worlds separating them.
In fact, even that uneasiness had diminished considerably. As his control over his world grew stronger, he could use Heaven-Changing Earth-Shaking to enter it and even pull people out. He no longer had that old fear that he might never see her again, and he felt much more secure.
What he needed now was to keep working at it, to make that connection respond more freely to his wishes. Ideally, his real body would be able to travel between worlds, and Qiu Qiu's real body could come out. That depended on the world's degree of reality and recognition, and could not be accomplished overnight.
At the very least, he needed to be able to reliably manifest a human form inside and visit Qiu Qiu, and stay as long as possible. That should have something to do with cultivation. At a minimum, his soul power had to hold up.
