In theory, without Divine Descent or control over the book's plot, writing about any character was meaningless. They had all slipped out of his control and no longer obeyed him.
But this particular character was a little special.
This character had no plotline in the book, yet he truly existed, and many people in the book knew him.
When Chu Ge left the World Within the Book, "Qiu Wuji's disciple, Chu Ge" had essentially vanished. He was no longer in this world. But according to the story's logic, this minor character named Chu Ge would not disappear into thin air. As far as everyone else knew, he was in seclusion.
More importantly, as far as everyone else knew, this person was the incarnation of the Heavenly Dao.
In other words, a real incarnation of the Heavenly Dao already existed in the Human Realm, and that was also how others understood him.
After the Heavenly Dao was severed from the entire world, this incarnation remained.
Chu Ge watched somewhat nervously, unsure exactly how this would play out. The worst outcome would be for this incarnation to lose every connection to him and become an avatar with a mind of his own. Then he would be screwed. The best outcome, of course, would be for the incarnation to remain fully connected to him and act according to his wishes.
In theory, the worst outcome should not happen, because this character had never done anything in the book. Even his existence was false. Every action he had taken and every trace he had left had come from Chu Ge personally descending into the world. If "this person didn't exist," how could he develop independent thought?
Sure enough, the final outcome was neither good nor bad.
Chu Ge could not establish a soul connection
