The Vermilion Bird was easy enough to deal with. It had no body in the conventional sense to begin with. Its so-called body of fire had no fixed form, so passing back and forth was no great problem.
The White Tiger, however, had a genuine, physical skeleton containing tremendous power. Like the Azure Dragon, it had once been squeezed through space, with many fragments crushed off and scattered. Tang Jinyan, for example, had obtained a bit of Broken Fang, but Sandru had gathered most of it, leaving the skeleton relatively complete and smooth now.
After finally restoring its skeleton to wholeness and reclaiming it through untold hardship, it now had to squeeze back through...
The White Tiger practically wanted to curl up in a ball around its own bones.
Passing through would not kill it, but it was truly afraid-a fear etched into its genes.
If even this body could pass through, did that mean there was essentially no barrier between the Two Worlds anymore, and they could more or less travel back and forth at will?
"Travel back and forth at will... soon." Chu Ge knew what they were thinking. He reached out to rub the Vermilion Bird's red-haired little-girl head, then tried to rub the White Tiger's too, only to discover it was so big that he could only rub its toes-and its little toe at that. Putting on a stern face, he said, "Turn into a little girl."
The White Tiger flew into a rage. "No!"
Chu Ge poked its little toe.
With a whoosh, the White Tiger suddenly changed from a colossal creature that blotted out the sky into a little white-haired girl, dizzy spirals filling her eyes.
Since it refused to transform, Chu Ge helped it along. Chu Ge could not reshape other things in
