Kallen remembered opening his eyes after completing the symbiosis contract last night, remembered picking Puer up himself and settling her on the bed, even tucking her in, and remembered telling Alfred and Kevin that his symbiosis contract ritual had been a success, but that he needed a moment and did not want to be disturbed.
Alfred had taken Kevin back to his room to rest;
then he himself... had gone into the washroom for a bath?
And fallen asleep while soaking?
Somewhat bewildered, Kallen shifted his body, stirring up a little splash.
Yes, his last memory of the night was of sitting down in the bathtub, wanting to sort out his thoughts while soaking. Who would have thought he would fall asleep?
His intuition told him he must have slept for a long time. Moreover, when he examined himself, he discovered several more powers within him... no, it was not that several more had appeared.
If power could be compared to foundation stones, then the spiritual reservoir originally inside him had become much richer in color.
It was a very peculiar feeling, as though he had suddenly gained an awareness of several different powers. They were so unfamiliar, yet so familiar.
The correspondingly long sleep might have been necessary to refill this newly remodeled pool. Kallen already had plenty of experience with that, since he had often exhausted himself practicing arts in the past.
Just then, Kallen noticed that the water in his bathtub was still warm-not a trace of warmth amid cooling water, but a temperature perfectly suited to a bath.
Cupping some water before his eyes, Kallen actually sensed an aura of light within it.
So, while he slept, did the power of light within his body circulate on its own to keep the water warm?
"Heh..."
