Kallen rose from his chair, then a violent wave of dizziness struck him. It was far worse than he had imagined, and he lost his balance completely, pitching forward onto the desk.
Just then, Puer, who had heard the noise from the bedroom next door, rode Kevin into the study. Seeing Kallen like this, she immediately jumped onto the desk and rang the Desk Bell.
"Kallen, what's wrong?"
"Overdid it."
"Hmm... what were you doing?"
Kallen felt rather helpless. The reason sounded strange-he had exhausted himself by studying too much?
But that was exactly what had happened. He had immersed himself in his studies, forgetting everything else, for an entire night. Throughout that night, the Key of the Magic Cube had been running continuously. Even with his substantial reserves of Spiritual Power, such prolonged consumption had drained him dry.
When he tried to stand, severe fatigue and exhaustion had struck him all at once.
Xili pushed open the study door and came in, exclaiming, "Young Master, what's wrong?"
As she spoke, Xili stepped forward and helped Kallen up.
"He's too tired," Puer said.
"Young Master, let me help you get some rest." Xili supported Kallen into the bedroom.
Just as she was about to settle Kallen into bed, Puer said, "He won't get into bed without a bath."
"A bath?" Xili instinctively swallowed.
"Hurry up and help him bathe, Big Bottom!"
"Oh, yes, of course!"
By then, Kallen's consciousness was already growing hazy, and he let Xili support him into the washroom.
Xili undressed Kallen and settled him against the side of the bathtub, then began running the hot water.
Puer sat on the sink. Seeing that Xili was still hesitating, she said bluntly, "Hurry up and wash him. Touch him if you want to, just make it quick!"
