Blanche went to treat Memphis first, but Memphis stared firmly at Mars.
Although Mr. Eisen had joined the squad under a new identity, in his eyes, everyone in the squad except Kallen was a child like Richard.
Without the slightest hesitation, Blanche immediately went to treat Mars.
Richard got to his feet. Earlier, he had needed someone to support him after losing too much blood, but now he was one of the healthiest people there.
He walked over to Memphis, wanting to check his condition. Memphis closed his eyes and ignored him.
Richard bent down and examined the wound on Memphis's back. The flesh had already begun to rot. He held his hands one above the other, palms facing each other, and white threads shot out, quickly weaving into a white ball of cotton thread.
Richard then shot a thread toward Memphis's wound. Soon, black toxins were drawn out along it.
The most important thing with pollution like this was to deal with it early. It absolutely could not be delayed.
Memphis felt an intense itch on his back and turned to look at Richard. He had not expected his son to actually be useful, and a sense of gratification rose in his heart.
Richard misunderstood Memphis's expression and said smugly, "Hehe, my dad's always beating me at home. You know, it really did pay off. I found this was a great way to clear out my own bruises, and I wondered whether it might have other uses. Turns out it really does."
Memphis said, "It seems your father's beatings did you some good."
Richard nodded. "Once I'm older, I'll beat him up every few days too. Maybe it'll help him develop some new ability. At the very least, it'll keep him fit."
Memphis: "..."
