"But... is this really all right?"
Daina held the battle report Kallen had written himself, disbelief written all over her face.
In this report, not only had she gone from deputy leader of the Communications Group to its leader, she had also been credited with the greatest contribution to the bait operation.
"Is there a problem?" Kallen asked as he washed his cup.
"But I..."
"Water."
"Oh, of course."
Daina immediately brought the kettle from the purification formation's countertop over to Kallen and poured him some water.
Practically every tent was equipped with a kettle and countertop like these, allowing everyone to obtain clean drinking water in unusual environments. The one in Kallen's tent had an additional function: making ice.
Kallen had modified the formation patterns himself. It was not difficult for him; being a Formation Master certainly made life much more convenient.
"Ice."
"Yes."
Daina went back to fetch some ice and put it in Kallen's cup.
In fact, if Kallen wanted ice water, there was an easier way: he could use Primordial Ancestor Allen's power to create water and ice himself. But he hardly ever did that, because the water and ice he condensed with spell arts were too pure. Drinking them felt like drinking some invisible disinfectant, and they tasted awful, so he only used them to fill Little Kangna's bath.
"Legion Commander, I don't think my contribution was that great. Commander Puer contributed the most to the bait operation."
"Her circumstances are rather special."
Puer was lying on the bed beside Kallen, sound asleep. Kallen reached out and stroked her fur before continuing,
"Strictly speaking, she doesn't belong to the ranks of our Order God Church. She belongs to me personally."
"That... I know that."
"So her contribution isn't suitable for inclusion in an official bulletin.
