"Captain, the Teleportation Magic Formation has activated."
"Prepare to receive them."
The observation station in the Land of Extreme Cold welcomed visitors once again.
When Kallen stepped out of the teleportation halo, every cleric in the observation station froze in shock.
Only after Dingneson, their captain, coughed did everyone immediately kneel and salute:
"Greetings, High Priest!"
"Greetings, High Priest!"
The Order God Church had no custom of kneeling in greeting. Even in the Previous Era, ordinary clerics had stood to salute deities. But after so many years of existence, it had inevitably picked up a few bad habits.
Most importantly, Kallen's appearance was simply too shocking for them, like the vice premier of the Vien Empire suddenly appearing at a checkpoint on a frontier island.
Besides, in the eyes of the vast majority of middle- and lower-ranking clerics, the prefix attached to Kallen's title of High Priest did not exist. The word "acting" was more appropriately attached to Kreid.
"Are you trying to make me kneel to return your greeting?"
At that, everyone rose, then crossed their arms under Captain Dingneson's lead and saluted again:
"Praise the great God of Order. Greetings, High Priest."
Kallen crossed his arms too, lowering his head in response.
Dingneson glanced behind him. Finding that no one else emerged from the Teleportation Array, he asked with some concern:
"High Priest, your entourage..."
Kallen pointed at him. "You, show me around."
"Yes, High Priest."
Kallen then looked at the fat cleric holding a ladle. "Set two extra places for lunch."
The fat cleric froze for a moment, then his eyes seemed to light up. He gripped his ladle tightly. "Yes, High Priest!"
Kallen then gestured for Dingneson to lead the way.
Much of the observation station stood abandoned, so there was plenty of space inside. Though
