Ch. 921A god's funeral (3)

Kallen and the High Priest watched the three churches spend enormous resources to bring their Chief Gods back, while the Order forces kept their plans hidden. The returning figures revealed that the churches had welcomed different gods than they expected, leaving Xibolain and the allied commanders devastated.

  • Little Kangna raised an enormous Ice Sculpture Palace to outshine Aoji, then joined her in destroying the churches' reconnaissance squad after Kallen approved.
  • Kallen privately planned to unify the scattered Light Remnants, while Fudeng agreed to help keep the plan secret.
  • Kallen refused to meet Sibolane Pompo and let Little Kangna inspect the three churches' elite forces without retaliation.
  • The allied churches opened a vast breach and summoned their apparent Chief Gods as Kallen and the High Priest watched from the ice field.
  • The figures behind Xiguman, Milogar, and Leftina were revealed as the Goddess of Night, the God of Netherflame, and the God of Thunder, not the gods the three churches expected.
  • Xibolain realized that the allied forces had welcomed the wrong gods.

Ch. 922A god's funeral (4)

Kallen and the High Priest witnessed Order’s long-planned funeral sacrifice as Xiguman awakened Panrol and sealed the icefield, trapping the allied armies with the returning gods. The Order knights sacrificed themselves to ignite three Chief Gods, who then attacked the Three-Church Allied Forces, while Kallen watched and joked that the spectacle was making him hungry.

  • Kallen broke the guards’ formation to let the High Priest experience the wind and snow, and Mobiten realized Kallen had reached the realm of a Temple Elder.
  • The High Priest called on Xiguman to awaken Panrol, whose ice powers isolated the icefield from the outside world.
  • The High Priest ordered Milogar, Xiguman, and Leftina to bind the Goddess of Night, the God of Netherflame, and the God of Thunder, then the three knights sacrificed themselves to burn the gods.
  • The churches’ Divine Miracles collapsed as the gods’ deaths took effect, while Dis reflected on the gods’ sacrifice and Neo mourned his lost Thunder Cigarettes.
  • The three Chief Gods turned on the trapped Three-Church Allied Forces, and Xibolain ordered his troops to defend and counterattack.
  • The High Priest asked Kallen what he thought of the battle, and Kallen replied that even he was getting hungry watching it.

Ch. 923Funeral of the Gods (5)

Alfred and Dikno observed the returning chief gods devastate the Crystal, Black Rock, and Storm legions, while the High Priest explained the wider threat and warned Kallen of the burden ahead. Kevin, Puer, and Dis then reached the Cavern, where five ancient tombstones prepared to confront a powerful being emerging there.

  • Alfred recorded the churches’ first attack as the Magic Crystal Cannons fired, while he and Dikno used the Eye of Order to observe the battle for the Knight Order.
  • The Goddess of Night corrupted the Crystal giants, shattered the Crystal Legion’s formation, and consumed its soldiers and resources.
  • The God of Thunder broke through the Black Rock Legion’s restraints and unleashed thunder and demon-beast phantoms, while the God of Netherflame accepted Hua'erfu’s offer and let Xibolain escape through a small gap in the Icefield boundary.
  • After Xibolain and the senior Storm officials fled, the Storm Legion collapsed, and the God of Netherflame began consuming its clerics; the High Priest told Kallen that later waves of returning gods would fall to the church and future generations.
  • Kevin and Puer rushed to the Cavern, and Dis followed; there, five ancient tombstones told Dis and Immoreles to leave while they faced the threat themselves.

Ch. 924A god's funeral (6)

Dis and the Elders faced the God of the Cavern, who ultimately retreated into his tomb, while the High Priest arranged for Kallen to witness a Divine War through Xiguman. Kallen entered Xiguman’s Divine Kingdom, where the Knight recognized him as the next God of Order and prepared to challenge the God of Thunder.

  • Dis stayed at the cavern as the God of the Cavern withdrew, prompting the five tombstones to curse him for refusing to awaken.
  • The High Priest connected Kallen’s soul to Xiguman’s Divine Kingdom so Kallen could experience a battle between gods.
  • Xiguman recognized Kallen as the designated successor to the God of Order and used the Divine Kingdom’s power to freeze time.
  • Kallen chose the God of Thunder as Xiguman’s opponent, and Xiguman summoned Panrol and the Arctic Spear for the fight.
  • Xiguman formally challenged the God of Thunder and declared himself the strongest of the 12 Knights, while the High Priest called him shameless.

Ch. 925A god's funeral (7)

Xiguman fought the God of Thunder in the Icefield, then let Kallen share his power so Kallen could help defeat the Thunder Python. Xiguman and the God of Thunder fell together, and after Xiguman exiled his Godhead, Milogar asked to take Kallen with him.

  • Xiguman challenged the God of Thunder, using the Arctic Spear to freeze his lightning and pierce his chest.
  • The God of Thunder released Sangqikaer, the Thunder Python, and Xiguman accepted Kallen’s request to lend him his power.
  • Kallen used an imitation of Xiguman’s strike to break the Thunder Python, then returned to his body gravely injured.
  • Xiguman smashed half the God of Thunder’s head, swore allegiance to the God of Order’s successor, and burned with the God of Thunder in Divine Flame.
  • Xiguman exiled his Godhead, and Milogar asked to take Kallen along.

Ch. 926Funeral of the Gods (8)

Kallen watched Milogar and Leftina sacrifice themselves in battles against the God of Netherflame and the Goddess of Night, while inheriting their conviction to carry on Order. After the clergy mourned the fallen, Kallen and the High Priest reflected on the funerals Kallen had promised to hold.

  • Milogar brought Kallen into his Undying Divine Kingdom, recognized the God of Order in him, and challenged the God of Netherflame.
  • Milogar defeated the God of Netherflame, passed on his will for Order, and banished his godhead before Kallen returned to the High Priest.
  • Kallen explained that Tyranus's strategy had weakened rival churches and left them reliant on the Order God Church.
  • Leftina brought Kallen into her Holy Light Divine Kingdom, spoke with him about the God of Order, and then fought the Goddess of Night.
  • Leftina and the Goddess of Night burned themselves and arranged their inheritances, while the Order clergy mourned the three fallen figures.
  • The High Priest thanked Kallen for keeping his promise to hold their funeral, and Kallen clarified that he had run the Immoreles Funeral Company.

Ch. 927Class reunion!

Kallen returned from the Icefield with the High Priest, who arranged for Kreid to lead the church temporarily and planned to enter seclusion. Back in York City, Kallen gathered old classmates and allies for a reunion, bringing a mysterious coffin and a mummy to the exhibition hall.

  • The High Priest discussed Kallen’s Immoreles identity, approved Kreid as his temporary successor, and warned Kallen to keep his identity as the next God of Order secret.
  • The High Priest asked Kallen to select a historical High Priest to assist him and Kreid while he rested, and Kallen chose someone from the church’s record book.
  • Wukongjia and Neo discussed their plans, the church’s exhibits, and the possibility of awakening Dikalost’s mummy.
  • Kallen returned to York City as clerics prepared the exhibition hall and delivered a black coffin under the High Priest’s official authorization.
  • Kallen gathered Wukongjia, Neo, the mummy, and the coffin in the hall and called the occasion a class reunion.

Ch. 928Heaven

Kallen tried to awaken Dikalost and entered his memories, where Dikalost revealed that Heaven still existed beyond a collapsed road and that the Abyss God had severed the passage after discovering Order had deceived him. Kallen offered Dikalost a second life as an Order Knight, and Dikalost accepted, declaring that his true faith was adventure.

  • Wukongjia warned that awakening Dikalost would be difficult, but Kallen released the display case and used Thousand Enchantments to examine Dikalost's remains.
  • Two damaged angels awakened and attacked, but Wukongjia and Kallen quickly suppressed them before Kallen began Dikalost's awakening.
  • Kallen encountered Dikalost in his memories and learned that Heaven remained accessible only through a collapsed road, and that the Abyss God had severed it after realizing it was not truly Heaven.
  • A glimpse through Heaven's gate nearly tore Kallen's soul apart, and Dikalost admitted that the Abyss God had shouted that Order had deceived him.
  • Kallen offered Dikalost a second life as an Order Knight, and Dikalost agreed after revealing that adventure, not the Abyss, was his true faith.

Ch. 929A blood-red reunion

Kallen awakened Budalas and, after learning his memories, offered him an indefinite existence in exchange for secretly directing the Order God Church against the returning gods. Budalas accepted, but after awakening he accused Kallen of betraying Order and stabbed him with a demon-breaking scepter.

  • Dikalost reunited with Neo and Wukongjia, and Wukongjia introduced Kallen as their long-lost son; Wukongjia and Kallen tested their strength and confirmed that Kallen had condensed a godhead fragment.
  • Kallen entered Budalas's memories and learned that Budalas opposed the gods' return and believed the Order God Church should stand against them.
  • Kallen offered Budalas indefinite existence if he would secretly direct the Church and bring the Church World under control; Budalas knelt and accepted the divine edict.
  • Budalas awoke from the coffin and criticized Wukongjia, Neo, and Dikalost over their past conduct and loyalties.
  • As Kallen tried to calm the reunion, Budalas accused him of betraying Order and drove a demon-breaking scepter into his chest.

Ch. 930A show of force!

Kallen survived Budalas’s attempt to assassinate him and brought him to Norton, whose resolve convinced Budalas to return to the Order God Church. Kallen then forced Kreid to accept his authority, and Budalas used Order’s military support and the threat of returning gods to pressure three churches into declaring war.

  • Budalas stabbed Kallen, but Loya’s Lax Copper Coin blocked the lethal attack and was damaged; Kallen then took Budalas to see Norton.
  • Alfred read his unfinished “New Light of Order” to Norton, who gave him Tyranus’s goose quill and asked him to continue writing.
  • Budalas met Norton in the Office Divine Temple, saw his resolve to die, and repented of doubting and blaspheming against the Lord.
  • Kallen confronted Kreid in the War Court and revealed that he was an Immoreles, while Kevin’s divine might forced Kreid to accept his authority.
  • At a conference with the Thunder Order God Church, the Night God Church, and the Netherflame God Church, Budalas offered Order’s military support for wars against their weakened rivals and warned that they would face vengeance if the gods returned.

Ch. 931Seen through

Puer prepared to join Dikalost’s expedition while Kallen discussed the possible purpose of Heaven and warned her to stay safe. As Dikalost departed, Wukongjia realized the truth about his identity, and Kallen called him “Father,” prompting him to kneel and address Kallen as Lord.

  • Puer chose clothes for the expedition, and Kallen insisted that Kevin accompany her and protect the group.
  • Kallen speculated that Heaven might be a forbidden zone intended to help deal with the gods, though he admitted he did not know the God of Order’s true plan.
  • Dikalost, Neo, and Wukongjia discussed the chaos spreading among the churches and Dikalost prepared to leave.
  • Budalas warned Dikalost to remain loyal, and Dikalost departed with Puer and Kevin for the expedition.
  • Wukongjia approached Kallen, confessed he had realized something terrifying, and Kallen called him “Father,” causing Wukongjia to kneel and call him Lord.

Ch. 932The God of Reincarnation!

Kallen traveled to Reincarnation Valley to discuss an alliance while probing the Church’s plans for the Gate of Reincarnation. As the gate opened, the deity emerging from within was revealed to be the Moon Goddess, not the God of Reincarnation.

  • Kallen revealed his identity to Wukongjia, asked him to keep it secret, and brought him along to Reincarnation Valley.
  • Kallen met with Romir and the Reincarnation Temple Elders, presented an alliance agreement, and discussed the approaching return of the gods.
  • At dinner, Romir admitted she did not want her Lord to return because the souls within the gate would be consumed, while Kallen said Order had no special mission for her.
  • Lango told Kallen that Reincarnation’s forces were wearing down the membrane around the gate and that he would not resist if Order declared war; the gate then shook violently.
  • The High Priest welcomed the return of the God of Reincarnation, the Moon Goddess, and Tyranus as the Gate of Reincarnation opened further.
  • A towering goddess appeared inside the gate, and Romir recognized her as the Moon Goddess.

Ch. 933Evil God Judgment!

Kallen watched the Reincarnation Church fight to keep Moon God Artemis from escaping the Gate of Reincarnation, while the Moon Order God Church faced the God of Reincarnation at the Moon Wheel. Rilielsa sacrificed herself to restrain Artemis, and the High Priest ordered the evil god judgment against Rilielsa rescinded.

  • Kallen, Muli, Wukongjia, and Little Kangna flew above the Gate of Reincarnation and watched the church’s forces attack Artemis as she struggled to emerge.
  • Kallen learned from Mr. Hoffen that a major upheaval had also begun at the Moon Order God Church, where the God of Reincarnation was being held inside the Moon Wheel.
  • Reincarnation’s believers believed their god had appeared, but Kallen recognized the divine signs as a deception painted by Rilielsa.
  • Rilielsa burned her soul and sent her broken body to restrain Artemis, with Lord Dar trapped inside it.
  • At the Office Divine Temple, the High Priest ordered Alfred to rescind the evil god judgment against Rilielsa.

Ch. 934The God of Order's Promise

Piaget began receiving the Wall God's inheritance but nearly lost himself to hatred until Dis intervened, and Linda's soul returned to his side. As the battles against the God of Reincarnation and Moon God Artemis reached their climax, the High Priest ordered the Moon Order God Church's destruction to honor Kallen's promise to the Dark Moon Goddess.

  • Piaget burned Linda's paintings and ashes, rejected the Wall God Church, and attacked Mr. Bede as the inheritance began transforming him.
  • Dis restrained Piaget and gathered the golden threads, but let Linda's image emerge and embrace Piaget when he heard her voice.
  • Kallen's group rescued Lord Dar from the collapsing battlefield, and Linda's soul fragment told Kallen she was returning to Piaget.
  • Kallen learned that the Dark Moon Goddess was binding the God of Reincarnation on the Moon Wheel and recalled his promise to help her destroy the Moon Order God Church.
  • The Dark Moon Goddess ignited her ruined body to set Reincarnation alight as the Moon Order God Church's forces renewed their assault.
  • After Alfred told him of Kallen's promise, the High Priest ordered Daan, Xierma, and Marlojis to lead their Knight Orders to the Moon Wheel and destroy every Moon Order God Church inheritance.

Ch. 935A dear friend's closure

Kallen witnessed the fall of the Moon God Artemis and received the Dark Moon Goddess’s inheritance after she thanked Order and vanished. He secured an alliance with the weakened Reincarnation Church, then visited Piaget, who had sealed himself into a happy life with Linda and promised to paint Kallen’s portrait when his figure loomed over the world.

  • Artemis died at the Gate of Reincarnation, and her lunar blessing spread through Reincarnation Valley and the world inside the gate, damaging the church’s ability to recover.
  • The Dark Moon Goddess appeared before Kallen, praised Order, and gave him her inheritance; Kallen learned that the Order Knights Corps had attacked the Moon Order God Church.
  • Romir agreed to finalize an alliance with Order, and Kallen spent a week arranging its terms as Reincarnation added cooperative projects and granted Order access to the Gate’s surroundings.
  • Kallen visited Mr. Bede and restored the Wall God Church’s right to preach, then entered Piaget’s painting and saw him living happily with Linda.
  • Piaget told Mr. Bede that he was saving a blank sheet to paint Kallen, whose figure would soon loom over the world.

Ch. 936Divine War in Vien!

Kallen returned to Vien as the Order God Church prepared to confront the returning gods, including the God of Principles. The High Priest publicly handed the stage to Kallen, revealed Vien’s cross-shaped battlefield, and joined Tyranus and the Church’s venerable figures in preparing to fight every returning chief god.

  • Kallen returned to 13 Mingke Street and told Old Hoffen that the God of Principles was among the next batch of Returning Gods.
  • The High Priest broke free of his Ice Seal, said farewell to his subordinates, and traveled in a wheelchair to meet Kallen in Vien.
  • At the Teleportation Hall, Dis told Delong that Kallen was his grandson too, delighting Delong.
  • Kallen pushed the High Priest out of the hall, where the High Priest explained Vien’s special position and raised a colossal cross from the Tiffranco Mountain Range.
  • Tyranus appeared bound to the cross as the returning chief gods advanced on Vien, while Order’s venerable retainers and knights gathered around him.
  • The High Priest connected Kallen’s consciousness to Tyranus, and Tyranus declared that the Branch Gods of Order would take every returning chief god with them in the coming battle.

Ch. 937Inheritance

The Rebel Dragon God returned to the battle over Vien and taught Little Kangna how to combine the strengths of different dragon races, while Tyranus and Alfred summoned the Order Knights to counter the invading gods. As the God of Light drove away an ancient Solar System God, the knights continued choosing newcomers to mentor, leaving Dali Wenluo convinced Alfred was deliberately excluding him.

  • The Rebel Dragon God detected Little Kangna's Master-Servant Contract, but stopped trying to break it after Tyranus told him her master was present, then shared his senses and taught her to inherit the attributes of different dragon races.
  • The Rebel Dragon God overpowered the God of Crystal, while the God of Storms raised a massive wave toward Vien and Tyranus sent Kallen's consciousness back to his wheelchair.
  • Tyranus and Alfred summoned Mutese with Muli Benda, Andeka with Vic, Dirga with Molindi, and Hidamore with Philomina to fight the gods, angels, and demons attacking Vien.
  • An ancient Solar System God approached, but Tyranus warned it not to descend; the God of Light then confronted it, forcing it to withdraw.
  • Elsewhere, Neo's brief transformation by a beam of light made the resisting Light Clerics believe he was sacred, and an Old Light Elder agreed to submit.
  • As the knights continued calling newcomers to mentor, Dali Wenluo remained unchosen and accused Alfred of taking revenge on him.

Ch. 938Old Gods

Philomina witnessed Hidamore and the Assassin God fight, while the Lax God’s interference pushed Hidamore toward a desperate final attack. The gods’ deaths stirred ancient powers, and a voice from the Eternal Throne announced its impatience for Order.

  • Dali Wenluo spoke with Dikno, who was summoned away, leaving Dali Wenluo to shout in frustration.
  • Philomina spoke with Hidamore in his Divine Kingdom, and he described his bond with the Assassin God while she recounted killing her grandmother.
  • The Lax God interfered in the duel and inflamed Hidamore’s emotions, so Tyranus ordered the Phantom Knight to take his brother down with him.
  • Hidamore tricked the Assassin God into believing he had received Order’s blessing, then gained a true blessing and struck the Lax God through his sarcophagus.
  • Hidamore and the Assassin God fell after offering their inheritances, with the Assassin God’s inheritance going to Philomina and Hidamore banishing his godhead.
  • The deaths of the returning gods stirred ancient beings and phenomena, while a pillar of light descended over a frozen palace and a voice from the Eternal Throne told Order it could hardly wait.

Ch. 939Eternity descended

Eternity returned and summoned the Eternal Spear, forcing the Order faction to confront an Epoch Overlord before the Divine War had ended. As Eternity sought a vessel in Kallen, Tyranus broke free of the Cross and asked Richard to guide him in battle.

  • Old Hoffen explained that the Little Girl had inherited two compatible Godheads, while Delong and Madam Tang Li proudly claimed her as family and student.
  • Richard watched the Divine War with Buken, who explained why Order's barrier had to protect the epoch's civilization.
  • Eternity returned from the Land of Extreme Cold, summoned the Eternal Spear, and sent a Divine Thought to seek an Alt Bloodline vessel.
  • Eternity's Divine Thought confronted Kallen, who rejected its offer and urged Eternity to help shape the coming world instead.
  • Tyranus freed Richard from Alfred's possession, broke free of the Cross, and invited Richard to guide him in battle.

Ch. 940Overlord

Richard accepted Tyranus’s request and took control of his Divine Kingdom Domain, joining the Divine War through Tyranus’s body. After Tyranus and the Order knights brought down several Chief Gods, Eternity confronted the ancient Epoch Overlords and declared that Order and Light should join the enemy side.

  • Richard resisted Tyranus’s request at first, but chose to teach him and entered his Divine Kingdom Domain while Philomina lowered her blade after Buken tried to reassure her.
  • Tyranus used the Cross to empower the Rebel Dragon God, who froze and beguiled two Chief Gods before sacrificing himself to kill them; he entrusted Little Kangna with his ideal, then banished his godhead.
  • Tyranus empowered Mutese’s greatshield, and Mutese’s self-inflicted blows crushed the God of Storms and dragged the God of Rest to his death.
  • Dirga transformed herself into a monstrous final summon that devoured the God of Ghosts and pursued the Nebula God, while Andeka’s chanting exposed the Abyss God and other hidden Chief Gods to Order’s forces.
  • A golden book shattered the Cross and ended Andeka, but Tyranus pierced the book with the Spear of Eternity and faced the God of Principles as ancient Epoch Overlords reacted to Eternity’s actions.
  • Eternity joyfully stood against the ancient Epoch Overlords and told Order and Light to join the enemy side.
