An Zang and Wu Dong nearly killed the wounded Xiang Minghao, but his autumnal sword intent broke their mist formation and revealed his identity as the Sun-Swallowing Society’s [Cold Scholar]. As Xiang Minghao tried to escape, a black-robed attacker wearing the [Sima] guise struck him down, and Wu Dong and An Zang intervened, only for the attacker to reveal mastery of both saber and formations.

• An Zang’s [I Went to the Yellow Bamboo] failed to hinder the wounded enemy, who drew on the courtyard’s autumnal energy and shattered the mist formation.
• An Zang and Wu Dong recognized the enemy as Xiang Minghao, the Sun-Swallowing Society’s [Cold Scholar], and realized their forces had badly misjudged the scale of the affair.
• As Xiang Minghao escaped the formation, a black-robed figure wearing the [Sima] guise struck him with a powerful saber blow and sent him crashing onto the street.
• An Zang attacked the black-robed figure, but the figure evaded his sword with extraordinary saber skill.

Wu Dong, An Zang, and Li Weiru attacked the black-robed Lord of the Mask, but he killed Xiang Minghao and remained ready to face the survivors. Wu Dong then used a lightning sword technique and an unexpected unarmed strike to try to wound him.

• The black-robed Lord of the Mask struck down Wu Dong, defeated Xiang Minghao, and pressed forward despite Li Weiru and An Zang’s attacks.

Wu Dong, An Zang, and Li Weiru fought the black-robed enemy, trying to strike the bead pouch at his waist. An Zang drove the enemy into Cloud-Locked Vermilion Tower while Li Weiru fell with him, and the scene then shifted to Pei Ye and Young Girl in the Deep Mountains of Xin Cang.

• Wu Dong targeted the bead pouch, and Li Weiru struck at it while An Zang prepared his final technique, [Riding the White Dragon].
• The black robe nearly killed Li Weiru, but An Zang's technique interrupted the attack and gave Wu Dong another chance to engage.

Xiang Minghao recalled how he had pursued Joy-in-Death Tower and realized its Theater Master was pursuing a broader plan, while the mist began to change around him.

• Pei Ye and Li Piaoqing returned to the Jade Ke Formation while concealing their worries about the Edict Diagram and Heart Poison.

Pei Ye arrived at the battle between Black Robe and the wounded Heavenly Mountain elders, helping Wu Dong keep Black Robe under pressure with Glaze and his Intent Sword. After Black Robe used the Soul-Seizing Pearl to disable Pei Ye, a young swordsman appeared in the manor and unleashed the third section of Snow-Collapsing, [Darkness and Light].

• The Lord of the Mask killed An Zang, but Xiang Minghao’s strike wounded him as Pei Ye arrived at the battlefield.
• Pei Ye realized Glaze had regained strength as its wielder approached Bowang, then joined Wu Dong’s assault and shouted that Miss Ming was coming.

• Meng Li pierced the Lord of the Mask with his sword, but the wounded man said he had expected Meng Li to act and then withdrew into the fluorescent glow.
• Pei Ye turned to find Li Piaoqing and saw her approaching Li Weiru’s bloodied, motionless body.
• Li Piaoqing discovered that Li Weiru was still alive and struggling toward An Zang’s corpse, while Shang Huaitong lay trapped and badly injured nearby.

After Black Robe escaped and Pei Ye recovered from the battle, he learned that an Edict Diagram had damaged his Mindscape. He opened Yang Yan’s Jade Pendant, offered to trade for it by teaching him a sword form, and then met Li Piaoqing, who asked him to walk by the lake.

• Black Robe used the Array Patterns to escape as Ming Qitian arrived, and she caught Pei Ye before he fell.
• Pei Ye woke after sleeping for about twenty-eight hours and learned that the Lord of the Mask of Shaolong, [Cold Scholar], and Meng Li had been involved in the battle.
• Pei Ye told Yang Yan he had seen the person who took his sect’s belongings and Yang Yan’s Senior Brother, then used their sword arts to open the Jade Pendant and reveal its empty cavities.
• Pei Ye offered to trade Yang Yan the Snowy Night Flying Goose Sword Form for the pendant and its missing bead, and Yang Yan said he did not want to go to Heavenly Mountain.

• Yang Yan's master told him to leave alone through the Direct Lineage's secret escape route after nightfall, while Meng Li separately told him to meet at the hall on Sashan at midnight.
• Yang Yan climbed to the hall and found his master's corpse pinned by a saber, while Meng Li stood by the locked rear door; others seized Yang Yan and accused him of murder.
