Three Portlands passed through the Brussels region, then arrived at the Port of IJmuiden under the guidance of the Amsterdam region's supernatural agencies. The port's locks connected to the North Sea, and along its western coast lay the North Sea Canal.
Three Portlands remained hidden above the Port of IJmuiden, while its municipal government entered serious discussions with Amsterdam's regional government officials about clearing out the Flame Beast Interface.

"What do you think, Professor? I made this hat using the code you provided. I just added a few little practical features." Xia Xiu handed Professor Nimus a black top hat.
Professor Nimus took the hat Xia Xiu offered and began examining it.
It was made of black wool felt (fur from a black goat summoned from hell), with a rounded crown and a broad brim underneath, its overall coloring tending toward gray. The slightly narrower, subtly upturned brim could give the overall look a sunnier, more energetic feel.
A strip of black silk encircled the outside of the hat, tied into a bow. This silk ribbon was the dimensional coordinate of [Holy Spirit Dove], and Xia Xiu was now using it as the hatband (with the Thaumaturgy programming provided by Professor Nimus).
"What do you intend to name this Art Installation?" Professor Nimus asked Xia Xiu as he stroked the sweatband inside the hat.
"Hmm... let's call it the [Pigeon Top Hat]." Xia Xiu rubbed his chin and pondered for a moment before answering.
"This hat qualifies for registration on the 'Art Handbook' application listing. Art Installations registered in the 'Art Handbook' receive a 20% reduction in energy consumption."
