"Laugen sent you to me to apply for a Graduation Task!?"
Professor Hiero Nimus, head of the Magic Studies Group, looked at the blond young man before him with some surprise. He had not expected this student to meet the graduation requirements so quickly, much less that Laugen would send him here to ask for a Graduation Task.
"Yes. I imagine this Graduation Task won't be any ordinary research project, either," Xia Xiu replied to Professor Nimus, very aware of his role as a tool.
"It is indeed a rather troublesome matter..."
Recalling a communication he had received earlier, Professor Nimus replied to Xia Xiu with a somewhat dark expression:
"I originally intended to handle this personally, but given my identity, I'm afraid my involvement would provoke further conflict. However, you happened to register in the Art Handbook earlier, so you now count as half an anomalous artist. And you're from Heaven, too. This matter might genuinely be very suitable for you."
Hearing Professor Nimus's words, the blond young man could not help raising his eyebrows. He said wistfully:
"As expected, Professor Laugen has handed me another very tricky assignment."
While the blond young man lamented that he was about to become a corporate drone again, Professor Nimus took a file envelope from the shelves behind him and handed it over.
Xia Xiu accepted the envelope from Professor Nimus, then lowered his head to read the file title written on it in red: "Notice on Measures for Addressing the Severe Circulation of Anomalous Artworks {issued by [Thirteenth Department · Anomalous Community Liaison Division, Anomalous Arts Management Office]}."
"A Veil conflict incident..." Xia Xiu narrowed his eyes at the file in his hands.
