Leipzig · Thirteenth Department, Anomaly Affairs Department.
Thud, thud, thud-
The [Cornflowers] marched in perfect unison, forming one square formation after another. 002 stood among them, carrying an EVE pulse rifle and wearing Exoskeletal Thaumaturgy-Resistant Armor, just like her comrades.
"That Angel from Heaven worked far faster than I expected," Wendell murmured as he stood before the formations.
"Captain, the troops have finished assembling," a young [Thirteenth Department] operative reported to Wendell.
"Where's Joachim Ernst?" Wendell tightened his black gloves, then turned to ask the young operative.
"This operation involves his uncle. The higher-ups reassigned him to perimeter duties," the young operative replied, having anticipated the question.
Members of the House of Hohenzollern also served in the [Thirteenth Department]. The Ernst Wendell mentioned belonged to its direct line, and his uncle, Joachim Friedrich, was the current president of the Hohenzollern Group.
"Ernst asked me to pass on a message: no matter what happens, we must ensure old Mr. Frederick's safety. He holds immense prestige in the anomalous community. If he dies, it will inevitably aggravate the current tensions," the young operative continued.
"A very objective suggestion." Wendell nodded.
Wendell knew Joachim Ernst very well. He was a man of unbending impartiality.
Ernst understood where he stood. He would not shield Frederick simply because the man was his uncle.
The rift between the [Thirteenth Department] and the anomalous community was already deep enough. The authorities did not yet want to take that radical path, and the House of Hohenzollern held considerable influence in the Berlin Region. Fiester could therefore only be arrested, not killed.
"Move out! Our destination is the Hohenzollern Grand Theater!"
The vast contingent of [Cornflower] constructs boarded black vehicles and headed toward the Hohenzollern Grand Theater.
