"You, must, eat it, here, on the spot," Number Two said, holding up the fruit to Xia Xiu.
"Understood." Xia Xiu took the fruit from Number Two.
The [Light Attendant Wisdom Fruit] was shaped like an apple, but it was silver rather than red.
Once Xia Xiu received the Wisdom Fruit, he ate it right there.

As mentioned earlier, normal-state lineages could not directly bestow traits. Thus, to ensure that their factions and descendants could perfectly inherit their powers, the various lineages and families had devised a special creation: [thaumaturgy circuits].
[Thaumaturgy circuits] were conversion circuits formed within a thaumaturgist's body. They could draw EVE particles from the surroundings and release them instantaneously, much like traits.
[Thaumaturgy circuits] resembled arrays and possessed the four elements of array studies: thaumaturgy source structure, guidance structure, effect structure, and backwash correction.
Through these four elements, [thaumaturgy circuits] could undergo Entry Formation.
First came the first stage: inscribing in advance the [source] required to cast the thaumaturgy.
The source's pitch was usually the same as the target's. These were preset using the principle that "like produces like."
Next came the second stage: the [shaper].
It guided EVE particles into the hue and intensity the thaumaturgist desired to achieve the intended effect or target.
It resembled a "magic circle," but that was by no means its only form.
Then came the third stage: the [target].
This was the effect the thaumaturgist wanted to achieve. Whether they could accomplish it depended on their skill.
Finally came the [sink]: directing backfire into a harmless state.
Source → shaper → target → sink-this was the operating sequence and function of a thaumaturgy circuit.
[Thaumaturgy circuits] also had the following characteristics:
One: thaumaturgy circuits were removable.
After a particular [thaumaturgy circuit] was implanted in a body, it could be removed and replaced. This meant it could be passed down.
The standard practice among the various lineages was to have their juniors implant [thaumaturgy circuits]. Once repeated use had successfully turned them into Entry Formations, they would remove the circuits and replace them with new ones.
Two: thaumaturgy circuits resembled traits.
The [thaumaturgy circuits] inscribed on a thaumaturgist resembled traits, allowing instantaneous casting and remaining usable even after separation from the lineage.
Three: thaumaturgy circuits were highly adaptable.
Thaumaturgy circuits could be implanted not only in humans, but also in alchemical lifeforms, magic beasts, anomalies...all of these could receive thaumaturgy circuits.
These three points made the value of [thaumaturgy circuits] clear. On Terra, vast numbers of valuable [thaumaturgy circuits] were held by the major lineages, while Heaven possessed the greatest collection of [thaumaturgy circuits] on Terra.

Azure thaumaturgy circuits covered Xia Xiu's hands and feet. As he controlled them, he felt his body grow lighter and the wings behind him beat more powerfully.
Bang-
A sonic boom rang out, and Xia Xiu surged a considerable distance forward, letting out a "Woohoo!" in midair. Watching from the side, Number Two could not help spreading his wings, beneath which circular gun barrels flickered into view.
Just as Number Two was telling himself to calm down, he saw Xia Xiu, who had flown into the clouds, throw two silver light wheels out of them. The wheels crossed as they struck a white cloud.
Octant Light Wheel...
Number Two could no longer hold back. He teleported straight behind Xia Xiu, grabbed his spirit body, opened the [Rainbow Bridge], and hurled him straight inside.
[Connection to the [Wisdom Tree] terminated-] [You have been kicked out of the [Ether Sea]-]
Xia Xiu was swallowed whole by the [Rainbow Bridge].

Having fallen off the sofa, Xia Xiu clutched his lower back, speechless. He strongly condemned Number Two's forcible unplugging of his connection.
