Ch. 41A Girl with Delusions of Grandeur

Ming Xiao Fei fused with Gu Zhe’s Paper Figure and showed off her newfound supernatural abilities, while Gu Zhe concealed how much control he had over the fusion. • Zhu Qiang showed Ming Xuan Gu Zhe’s assistant recruitment post beside a young girl’s Moments posts about his interest in a well-endowed woman.
  • Ming Xuan agreed to help the Jinyiwei, then wondered whether Gu Zhe had really sneaked peeks at her and protested that she was not an old woman.

Ch. 44Young Master Gu Always Thought Thrice Before Acting!

Ming Xuan applied to become Gu Zhe’s assistant, explaining that she was willing to work for him and had been sent by the Jinyiwei to pass along occasional messages. Ch. 49A Brutal Apocalypse, a Terrifying Pig Demon

Gu Zhe saw through his paper figure that the merged territory around Ming Xiao Fei’s school had become a slaughter ground where a pig demon hunted humans, and learned that the creatures had a king and sought spiritual treasures. He realized the strange world might let his eerie paper figures enter, then arrived with Ming Xuan at the fog-covered block and began acting through his power beside Ming Xiao Fei.

  • Gu Zhe learned through his paper figure that Ming Xiao Fei was safe for now, though others in the merged territory had been killed.
  • Gu Zhe surveyed the wreckage where a modern city block had collided with forests, hills, and primitive settlements, finding bodies and hearing cries for help.

  • Zhu Qiang escorted Gu Zhe and Ming Xuan through the crowd gathered at the mist, explaining that the Jinyiwei and military were waiting for the Yuzhou Guardian and Oracle before beginning a rescue.
  • Gu Zhe urged the officials to act, then revealed that people could survive inside and that ordinary pig demons were roughly as strong as Evil Ghosts, while their leader seemed stronger than a Fierce Ghost.
  • Zhou Cheng and the others grew more cautious after hearing the pig demons' strength, but Gu Zhe decided he could reveal more of his power and told them to assist while he handled the rescue.

Ch. 52Monsters Devour Humans, So Humans Must Eat Monsters Too!

  • Gu Zhe asked whether merged regions had different classifications, including dead zones and forbidden zones.

Ch. 54There were two factions here: one was made up of demons, and the other also seemed to be... demons!

Gu Zhe learned the government’s classifications for haunted domains before entering one with Zhou Cheng and the others. They discovered a battlefield where pig demons fought eerie, thin humanoid beings, and a giant pig demon began sweeping the area with its club.

  • Zhou Cheng explained how the government classified converged haunted domains as dead zones, death traps, battle zones, or territories.
  • Gu Zhe organized the new information with what he had learned about the Yin-Yang Realms and their connected branches.
  • The fog cleared, and Gu Zhe, Zhou Cheng, and the others emerged into a haunted domain with broken buildings, hills, and trees.

  • A towering pig demon roared and swept its club through trees and concrete, sending debris flying toward the battlefield.

Ch. 55Saving Lives, and Making Plans

  • Pig Seven transformed through Heaven and Earth Manifestation, growing from four meters to more than six and intensifying his aura.
  • Gu Zhe judged that the Secret Realm and its Eerie Paper Figure lord were still growing during the Heavenly Calamity, giving his side a chance to fight.
  • Pig Seven attacked the Eerie Paper Figures with his club, leaps, and thrown earth and stone, destroying several and damaging the surrounding buildings and terrain.
  • Pig Seven boasted of his lineage, ate a human, and continued attacking the Eerie Paper Figures with his bare hands.
  • As Pig Seven seized another Paper Figure and the floor slab beneath it, a colder-looking enemy released sinister, freezing breath that began spreading over his body.

Ch. 58Could Afford to Die!

Gu Zhe used his Paper Figures and their icy breath to wear down Pig Seven, sacrificing a Seventh Sequence lord to break the demon’s defenses. As the lord crumbled, another Paper Figure inherited its position and entered the battle, leaving Pig Seven battered and facing yet another source of icy breath.

  • The lord Paper Figure slowed Pig Seven with its icy breath while the other Paper Figures slashed through his weakened defenses.
  • Pig Seven recovered from the breath’s effects and lunged at the lord, but it hid among the other Paper Figures and continued attacking him.
  • Gu Zhe repeatedly used the lord’s breath to weaken Pig Seven, accepting the cost to the lord’s source power as the demon’s wounds accumulated.
  • The lord Paper Figure unleashed a final, exceptionally dense blast and crumbled to ash, while Pig Seven lost his colossal form and kept fighting.
  • Another Paper Figure inherited lordship in the Du Xiao Secret Realm, entered the battle, and attacked the already injured Pig Seven with icy breath.
