Shen Ye turned and left, returning to the entrance to the second layer. He first canceled his "Gate" ability, then fixed it to the door after passing through.
"Now I can search for that nightmare art in peace."
He spoke.
"That's right. If the enemies try to destroy the door, the Great Tomb will punish them," the female Spell Spirit said.
Shen Ye hurried down the steps.
He had no idea how long he walked.
The steps came to an end.
This layer was shrouded in utter darkness. He could not see what lay ahead at all.
"I really can't see my hand in front of my face."
Shen Ye took a few steps and raised his hand to look, only to find that he could see nothing but darkness.
"Take twenty-six steps to the left, feel for the mechanism on the wall, and press it inward hard," the female Spell Spirit said.
Shen Ye followed her instructions.
Sure enough, there was a mechanism on the wall. He pressed it hard.
Rumble-
The wall slowly rose.
A cool breeze blew out from within.
The female Spell Spirit spoke:
"The second layer is the Dark Restriction Graveyard. Many powerful dark creatures are sealed here."
"If you accidentally touch a trigger mechanism, they'll emerge, fight you, and then eat you."
"What's behind this mechanism-operated wall we opened?" Shen Ye asked.
"We've opened the Secret Passage. From here, we can pass straight through most of the Dark Restriction Graveyard and reach the Tombkeeper's Room at the center of the second layer," the female Spell Spirit said.
"Why go there?"
"Only by reaching it can you upgrade your waist token. That will give you greater privileges and better treatment in the Great Tomb."
"All right, let's go."
Shen Ye walked into the darkness.
Rumble-
