"Don't get hung up on that. Joining us comes with tremendous benefits," the man said.
"What benefits?" Shen Ye asked, playing along.
"Two reasons."
The man's expression was blank, his voice slow and devoid of emotion:
"First, you will have eternal life."
"Second, I can leave the Primordial Ruins at any time."
Shen Ye's expression shifted.
"You can leave the Primordial Ruins directly?" he asked.
"That's right. It's a way to save your life. If you join us, you can do it too."
As the man spoke, his figure flashed backward, and his entire body instantly blurred.
He spoke a few final words:
"Let's have a contest."
"With your strength, it shouldn't be difficult-"
"If you can repel five monsters before I do, you'll qualify to join us."
His words faded.
His blurred figure vanished at once.
He had gone to pick a fight with the monsters!
Only Shen Ye remained standing in the room of the abandoned exchange.
"That's not right!"
Shen Ye suddenly clapped his hands. "That kind of teleportation definitely isn't a Gate Ability!"
