"War was about to start? Just because the Fearless Giants had appeared again?"
Shen Ye could not help asking.
"Even if the Fearless Giants hadn't appeared, we couldn't have kept it hidden for more than a few days-"
The Sword Maiden waved a hand, indicating that he need not worry too much, and continued:
"The White Night Demon Cage is an immensely powerful ultimate creation, while our Multilayered Universe is inherently deficient. It can barely bring forth a true Sixth Era."
"So you're going to fight the monsters of the White Night Demon Cage?" Shen Ye asked.
"Strike first. That's what your teacher decided, but we still have one last concern," the Sword Maiden said.
"What concern?" Shen Ye asked.
The Sword Maiden's voice grew grave:
"The Fearless Giants cannot be used in battle, but they are spirits of truth that pass on the spark of civilization."
"If one signs a Contract with you, it can become a spell spirit for you to use."
"Your teacher wants to know just what sort of skill the Fearless Giant gained upon emerging this time, and whether it can help in the Multilayered Universe."
"If it can play a useful role, that will put us a little more at ease."
Shen Ye thought for a moment, then leaned close to the Sword Maiden's ear and said a few words.
The Sword Maiden listened attentively, a strange expression gradually appearing on her face.
Some time passed.
Shen Ye finally finished explaining the power the Fearless Giant had gained upon emerging this time.
The Sword Maiden's eyes grew wider and wider, and she could not help saying:
"You... Never mind. I really have to hand it to you..."
"What do you think of my Contract with the giant, big sister Sword Maiden?" Shen Ye asked.
