A hand reached out and touched the glass.
The glass instantly vanished.
The hand continued forward, coming to rest on the bronze dragon throne from several thousand years ago.
"This is the seat of a human emperor, but that emperor died long ago. Or perhaps he isn't dead? But none of that matters."
Accompanying that voice, a White-Haired Elder sat down on the dragon throne.
Deep crimson flames radiated from his entire body. His eyes had neither whites nor pupils, only utter darkness.
Yet his voice was calm and serene:
"My struggle against humanity has lasted tens of thousands of years, with over six hundred epic battles and as many as seven or eight human heroes who earned my recognition."
"Now, I look forward to seeing what you can do."
Opposite the dragon throne.
Two people stood below the steps.
A man and a woman.
The man smiled and shook his head.
"A race so utterly weak deserves such praise from the Destruction Supreme God?"
"If you truly see humanity that way, why haven't you destroyed Earth?" the White-Haired Elder asked calmly.
"Because of something that happened back then," the woman answered.
"Yes, I know about that-one of you possessed a terrifying 'feeding' ability and ate a hole in the 'barrier,' opening the gate between the two worlds."
The White-Haired Elder's gaze swept back and forth between the man and woman as he continued asking:
"Did that fellow not come?"
The man and woman both fell silent.
The elder continued in a mocking tone:
"Ah, I understand. Gnawing through the 'barrier' is extraordinarily difficult. When I first heard about it, I found it unbelievable too."
"You feared that ability, so the Truth Construct that saved the Eternal Remnant Race no longer exists."
"Heh."
"You're not much better than
