By this point.
The Nest was already teeming with monsters.
Shen Ye looked back.
He saw the monsters charging straight at the hatchlings the others had nurtured, trying to kill them.
The first to bear the brunt-
Were Rahu's four masses of elemental creatures!
Those four masses of elements were simply too conspicuous!
"Do you think these four elements are nothing more than elements?"
Rahu spoke as though his words held a deeper meaning.
Before his words had faded.
The four masses of elements began spinning around him.
They seemed to merge with one another in their rapid rotation, yet also seemed to establish some special, stable, powerful connection.
-An Elements Ring.
The four basic elements formed a dazzling ring-shaped structure.
Whenever a monster approached-
The Elements Ring invariably released the corresponding Spellcraft, knocking the monster away.
Then there was Wang.
His three guards each possessed one of three powers: "freedom," "greatness," and "worship."
-On closer inspection, however, it was the spears the guards held that possessed different powers.
Relying on the power of their spears, the three guards fought the monsters charging at them.
Things were even simpler for the cloaked man.
His catapult was buried beneath countless treasures.
Treasures were converted into fighting strength.
For a time.
The catapult launched stones like fiery meteors, sending all the monsters flying.
Those monsters could not even get close to the catapult!
And then...
There was Shen Ye.
He looked at the man lying flat before him and could not help sighing:
"Brother, this is my fault-"
"Everyone else's desires are full of power. What I desired wasn't quite right, and it'll get you killed. I'm sorry."
"It's fine," the man said indifferently as he lay on the ground. "I wasn't interested in competing for a ranking in this trial anyway."
