Cao Xing built a fortified camp, recruited allies, and used his permanent buffs and bear meat to gain power and supplies. The arc left him preparing to rescue Big Flower’s captive companions as the Level Leaderboard opened.

• Cao Xing entered Icebound Era with Liu Muxue, chose the Frost Mage, and awakened his unique Eternal Power talent, which made temporary allied buffs permanent.
• Cao Xing and Liu Muxue established their territory, recruited Polar Folk and Ilena, and defeated a Snowfield Viper and two Snow Wolves to claim a coal mine.
• Cao Xing permanently strengthened himself and Liu Muxue with Ice Armor, then protected her from her family’s demands for food and supplies.
• Cao Xing and his allies killed a Snowfield Thunder Bear, recruited Asam and the cub Volibear, and obtained valuable meat and treasure from the bear’s cave.
• Cao Xing traded bear meat for resources, equipment, and blueprints, defied Fang Long and the Three Heroes Association, and refused to yield to their threats.
• Cao Xing and Liu Muxue grew closer, while Asam returned with Jasmine, Tulip, and Sapphire, three women Cao Xing recruited into his territory.
• Big Flower asked Cao Xing to rescue her captive companions, so he prepared Liu Muxue for the mission, recruited Guardian Andrew, and learned that the Level Leaderboard had opened.

Cao Xing secured first place on the Level Leaderboard, recruited Sarah, and led his followers through the Moleman Mine, where they defeated its monsters and repaired several robots. After discovering Hunters attacking an Icefield Mammoth, Cao Xing killed them and made the rescued mammoth his pet, leaving it healed and close to unlocking its mount function.

• Cao Xing led his followers to destroy the Hunter Camp, rescued Tong Chuchu and other captives, and brought them and Xia Yanni into his territory.
• Cao Xing claimed first place on the Level Leaderboard after defeating the Hunters, while Fang Long and Zhou Bo turned their attention toward him.
• Cao Xing recruited Sarah Blade Dance and led her, Liu Muxue, Asam, Andrew, and Winter into the Moleman Mine.
• Cao Xing’s group defeated Molemen and a Cave Spider, and Asam evolved into an Elite Creature while Winter advanced to Tier 2.
• Sarah killed a Burrowing Robot, which Cao Xing repaired, before the group fought a large force of Molemen and robots in the mine.
• Fang Long enlisted Liu Zhenjie to seek Cao Xing’s camp coordinates, but Cao Xing gave Liu Muxue false coordinates to pass along.
• Sarah warned Cao Xing that Hunters had trapped a wounded Icefield Mammoth, and his followers killed the Hunters to rescue it.
• Cao Xing contracted the mammoth as his pet, named it Big White, and healed it with help from Liu Muxue and Andrew.
