The Scenic Avenue outside the Mount Sanqing Scenic Area was very popular with local residents.
Plenty of running enthusiasts came out for a morning run every day.
Older villagers who could no longer run would also come out to stretch their legs.
Some walked briskly, while others strolled.
Those who kept pet dogs at home would bring them out for a walk, too.
They let their dogs enjoy a brief taste of freedom and run in nature.
Lush green trees lined both sides of the running path.
Even after the sun rose, there was no direct sunlight, so it did not feel very hot.
Golden sunlight filtered through the gaps between the trees and fell across Lin Zhe's strong, agile body as he ran.
It was as though it infused him with boundless energy.
After covering five kilometers in twenty-five minutes, his heart and lungs were working freely, and his joints and muscles had become more supple than when he first started running.
Maintaining a steady cadence and breathing rhythm, Lin Zhe entered the state runners often described as "feeling like you could keep running forever."
In that state, every step felt so light, as though he could keep running without stopping as long as he wanted.
Torso upright, shoulders pulled slightly back, center of gravity leaning forward, thighs lifting, lower legs folding up, arms swinging back and forth...
The longer Lin Zhe ran, the more excited he became and the better he felt. His breathing never faltered.
He raised his wrist to glance at his sports watch.
Pace: 5′02. Cadence: 188. Heart rate: 143!
All three readings were higher than those from Lin Zhe's previous runs.
Although he had neither run nor trained lately, his performance had actually improved!
This has to be the Tenfold Tonic Soup!
