If they followed the souls and traced them back to him, wouldn't that spell disaster?
By rights, however, he had already refined those souls completely. Ordinary Soul-Tracking and Spirit-Seeking Methods should not have been able to find him.
Even so, the goldfish remained uneasy. After all, the Blood Sea King had forcibly separated the children's true spirits from within his body before. He had thought he had refined them thoroughly, yet the other party had still extracted them.
His guilty conscience pricking him, the goldfish hid behind Guanyin Bodhisattva, not daring to look at the Gray Boat suspended in the air.
Perfected Lord Taixi draped his Fly-Whisk over one arm and formed a spell seal with his other hand. Treading the stellar steps, he chanted, "Mystic source of heaven and earth, root of myriad things. Encompass heaven and earth, nourish all living beings. Your disciple's souls and spirits, the dark mysteries of the five organs. I summon the Celestial Worthies to open the passage to truth.
"I summon Yuanshi Tianzun to open the nether road.
"I summon Lingbao Tianzun to guide the souls home.
"I summon Dao De Tianzun to protect the true spirits.
"Let the three souls and seven spirits follow my spell; with body at peace and soul settled, the Dao follows nature.
"Uphold this ten thousand times, cultivate for a hundred million kalpas, attain Supernatural Abilities and illuminate the Three Realms.
"Swiftly, in accordance with the decree-obey!"
As Ao Tu's words fell, the Gray Boat began to move through the air.
Before everyone's eyes, a layer of clear light enveloped the little boat. Then it hurtled straight at Guanyin Bodhisattva and struck her in the bosom.
