Wukong said, "Exactly. That demon is certainly no mortal-world monster. Old Sun will make a trip to Heaven!"
With a single somersault, Wukong went up to Heaven.
At the South Heaven Gate, Heavenly King Guangmu saw Wukong approaching on a cloud and said with a smile, "Great Sage, you're late."
Wukong said, "Late for what?"
Heavenly King Guangmu said, "Not long ago, Perfected Lord Taixi handed his commander's seal back to the Jade Emperor and received his reward. If you've come to give thanks for His Majesty's grace, you're late, Great Sage. You should have come earlier."
Wukong said irritably, "What thanks? Old Sun has run into another monster and come to ask for troops!"
Heavenly King Guangmu exclaimed, "What? It's only been a little while. How have you run into another monster already?"
Wukong said, "Heavenly King Guangmu, you haven't been down to the world below in a long time. You don't know how formidable it is down there! On this road to the Western Heaven, there's a demon at every step, every last one vicious and venomous! Enough talk. Old Sun must hurry to seek an audience with the Jade Emperor!"
