At the grand ceremony, the queen was carried away in the Demon Dragon's jaws.
The Daughter Kingdom's civil and military officials were aghast.
The Grand Preceptor cried, "Quickly! Muster the troops, give chase, and rescue our queen!"
The female general immediately mustered the troops in the city and pursued in the direction the Demon Dragon had flown.
Each warrior woman wore a helmet and armor, with a flowered belly guard and eighteen fastenings, a keen steel sword in hand and a yellow horse beneath her. After pursuing for four hours, they came upon Green Jade Mountain. A woman stood gracefully at its foot, adorned with a phoenix hairpin and gold pendants. Was that not the queen?
The female general hastily dismounted and paid her respects. "Your Majesty, I deserve ten thousand deaths for arriving late to your rescue! Has Your Majesty suffered any harm?"
The queen smiled. "I am unharmed. Prepare to return to the palace."
The female general said, "That Demon Dragon-"
The queen gave her a cold look. "Do not speak such nonsense! That was an auspicious omen for our kingdom!"
The female general dared say no more. "Your Majesty, I shall prepare your royal carriage at once."
The queen said, "There is no need. I can ride a horse back."
The female general said, "Your Majesty, we are still far from the Capital. You seldom ride, and I fear it might harm your royal person."
The queen considered this. "I had forgotten that. Very well, we shall do as you say."
The female general then withdrew to make the preparations.
By the time the party returned to the palace, night had fallen.
The Grand Preceptor led the officials out to welcome her.
The queen said, "Rise, my ministers. I am unharmed. It is late; go and rest."
