Asura King noticed none of this.
He truly did not notice.
All he wanted was to complete the task the patriarch had assigned him and slay the Demon Dragon. Here, only Mahamayuri Bodhisattva could help him accomplish that. Heavenly King Li was not even in his eyes, so naturally he could not notice Heavenly King Li's state.
The next day.
The divine drums thundered for who knew which time.
The gods once again gathered above Green Cloud Mountain.
The demons emerged from their caves to do battle.
As soon as Asura King saw Ao Tu, he attacked without another word, pressing down with the Twelve-Rank Karmic Fire Red Lotus.
But Ao Tu was prepared this time and was not trapped within the Twelve-Rank Karmic Fire Red Lotus by Asura King's surprise attack as he had been before.
Ao Tu summoned the Golden Bushel of Primordial Unity and used all his strength to hold off the Twelve-Rank Karmic Fire Red Lotus.
The two treasures collided and fell to the ground, their residual force toppling the demons and overturning the immortals and gods.
The two treasures were of much the same rank. The Twelve-Rank Karmic Fire Red Lotus was somewhat stronger, but it could not swiftly overwhelm the Golden Bushel of Primordial Unity. The two landed together, the workings of the Great Dao flowing as they contended with each other.
With both swords in hand, Asura King charged straight at Ao Tu.
