As its name suggested, the Demon-Gathering Banner was a treasure banner that could gather demons. He could give it to the Blood Sea Incarnation when he had the chance. The Blood Sea Incarnation was currently in the lower realm consolidating the demonic forces the Bull Demon King had left behind, so this would come in handy.
Though called a supernatural ability, Heavenly Eye, like Mind Reading, was actually a manifestation of a realm of cultivation.
Mortal eyes could not glimpse reality, obstructed as they were by the mortal world, ignorance, desire, illusions, karmic burdens, attachments, and all manner of other things. Heavenly Eye was the reality one glimpsed after overcoming all these obstacles-that was the supernatural ability.
For Ao Tu, this barely qualified as adding flowers to brocade, though it could somewhat improve his own cultivation of Buddhist Dharma.
The final reward, the Ancient Buddha Lineage, merged directly into Ao Tu's body.
Ao Tu's gaze pierced time, glimpsing the memories of a figure from the earliest days of heaven and earth.
He was the prince of a kingdom, extraordinary from birth and possessed of all manner of miraculous qualities.
The prince led his kingdom in slaying a Demon Dragon and Wu People who demanded offerings from the populace.
Then, for some unknown reason, heaven and earth sent down a great drought. The earth shook as well, fruit struggled to grow, and the people rebelled.
The prince led the people through calamity after calamity. Then, after ascending to the throne, he resolutely abandoned wealth and glory, choosing to leave worldly life behind, establish the Buddhist Sect, and preach Buddhist Dharma to help more people.
At this point, Ao Tu understood. It seemed this prince
