Ao Tu's incarnation was trapped inside Maitreya Buddha's Bundle.
The incarnation could only resist with his cultivation in Buddhism and Daoism.
His true body, then in the Flower Realm of the Heaven of Parting Hatred, was affected as well.
Pure benevolence appeared in Ao Tu's expression.
This was Ao Tu's own Buddhist and Daoist Path.
All things in the world, all forms of good and evil, returned to his own being; with great compassion, he would liberate all living beings and attain Supreme Perfect Enlightenment.
To resist the conversion wrought by Maitreya Buddha's Bundle, the incarnation raised his Buddhist and Daoist cultivation to the brink of breaking through to Great Luo and attaining the Dao of a Buddha. This state, on the verge of an attainment that would endure forever, left his true body wavering on the boundary as well.
Perhaps this, too, was part of the monk Maitreya's scheme.
If Ao Tu did not resist, Maitreya would convert his incarnation; if he resisted, he would be forced to attain the Dao of a Buddha.
Ao Tu's gaze kept changing. Three bloodlines circulated within his body, and the gaze embodying a Buddha's benevolence changed in turn into Dragon Eyes, Double Pupils, and Golden Eyes.
Ao Tu was doing his utmost to suppress his own Buddhist and Daoist cultivation. In truth, his incarnation had already raised that cultivation far beyond the level of an ordinary Buddha. Only the tremendous power of Ao Tu's true body forcibly held it in check. Anyone else would long since have been compelled to undergo Attainment of the Dao.
Even so, he could hardly hold out forever.
For this came not from an outside force, but from Ao Tu's own power. Buddhism and Daoism had always been among the powers he cultivated.
