"Young Master, we couldn't uncover any information on the identities of those Kumogakure shinobi."

After Liu Feng returned earlier, he had instructed Uchiha No to investigate the identities of those Kumogakure shinobi.

"Forget it if you can't find anything. Stop investigating. Continuing might cause trouble."

Although Liu Feng was not afraid of trouble, he did not want to invite it either. Still, he was seventy percent certain that those Kumogakure shinobi were not genuine Kumogakure shinobi.

Though they wore Kumogakure forehead protectors, they had not displayed any of Kumogakure's signature abilities from beginning to end.

Liu Feng had not seen them use Kumogakure's renowned swordsmanship, Nintaijutsu, or Lightning Release even once.

When he arrived at the Uzumaki Clan Compound, Liu Feng, as the Uzumaki clan's great benefactor, was naturally not stopped.

"Liu Feng, what brings you here? By the way, Kushina went to your place, didn't she?" Uzumaki Akira asked Liu Feng.

"I came because of Kushina. She was kidnapped earlier, but I dealt with it."

"What?"

Uzumaki Akira rose to his feet, the chakra around him surging violently. Kushina was his only precious daughter. If anything had happened to her, he might have gone mad.

"Who did it?" Killing intent filled Uzumaki Akira's face.

What a daughter-obsessed fool, Liu Feng muttered inwardly.

"Kumogakure. On the surface, it looked like Kumogakure shinobi did it, but I suspect they may have been Danzo's people posing as Kumogakure shinobi."

"Are you sure Danzo's people impersonated Kumogakure shinobi?"

Uzumaki Akira clenched his teeth.

"I'm not sure. If I were sure, there would be no need to speculate. But Danzo probably wouldn't target Kushina for no reason."

Although Liu Feng suspected that Danzo had done it, kidnapping Kushina did not seem to benefit Danzo at all.

"It wasn't for no reason. Danzo previously wanted Kushina to join the Root Organization." Uzumaki Akira angrily slapped the table.

"Danzo wanted Kushina to join the Root Organization? Why?" Liu Feng was genuinely startled by this information.

"You know what a Jinchuriki is, right?"

After calming the anger in his heart, Uzumaki Akira asked Liu Feng.

"Of course. I'm half a Jinchuriki myself."

Although Liu Feng did not have a Tailed Beast inside him, he possessed the Nine-Tails Chakra. Like the brothers Kinkaku and Ginkaku, Liu Feng could also use the Nine-Tails Chakra to undergo Partial Tailed Beast Transformation.

Partial Tailed Beast Transformation meant manifesting a cloak of Tailed Beast Chakra around one's body. Complete Tailed Beast Transformation, on the other hand, meant fully turning into a Tailed Beast and unleashing all of its power—but that required an actual Tailed Beast within one's body.

Uzumaki Akira was greatly astonished by Liu Feng's claim that he was half a Jinchuriki, but he did not question him. He had no intention of asking about matters involving secrets.

"Since you know what a Jinchuriki is, that makes things easier. The truth is, the Third Hokage wants Kushina to become the next Jinchuriki."

At this point, anger was clearly written across Uzumaki Akira's face. Deep down, he did not want Kushina to become some so-called Jinchuriki.

What was a Jinchuriki? To put it bluntly, it was a War Weapon. Naturally, Uzumaki Akira did not want his daughter to become a War Weapon, nor did he want her to suffer the strange looks of others.

"So Danzo learned that Kushina was going to become a Jinchuriki and wanted her to join the Root Organization?"

Liu Feng had guessed as much.

"That's right. He wanted Kushina to join the Root Organization, but both I and the Third Hokage refused him."

Liu Feng nodded. It seemed that the likelihood of Danzo being behind Kushina's kidnapping had risen to ninety percent.

As for why they had impersonated Kumogakure shinobi, it was probably because they feared being discovered. If someone found out, Kumogakure could take the blame.

If no one discovered them and they successfully kidnapped Kushina, the Root Organization would likely brainwash and control her. Then, not only might they gain a Jinchuriki, but they would also have a chance to control the Uzumaki clan.

"I'm going to settle this with Danzo."

The more Uzumaki Akira thought about it, the angrier he became. He simply could not swallow this outrage.

"Forget it. There's no evidence proving that Danzo did it. We're only guessing. Besides, even if you could prove it, there's nothing you could do to Danzo."

The Third Hokage could not possibly fall out with the Uzumaki clan. If Uzumaki Akira firmly refused, another Jinchuriki would definitely be chosen in the end.

"Actually, I don't think there's much chance that the Third Hokage will make Kushina a Jinchuriki."

Liu Feng said this to Uzumaki Akira.

"Why?" Uzumaki Akira froze for a moment upon hearing Liu Feng's words, then asked.

"It's simple. Kushina is too close to me. For that reason alone, she could never be chosen as a Jinchuriki in the end."

No matter how talented Kushina was, Hiruzen Sarutobi would never allow someone so close to the Uchiha to become a Jinchuriki.

"If that's the case, why did the Third Hokage tell me that he hoped Kushina would become a Jinchuriki?" Uzumaki Akira looked at Liu Feng in confusion.

"He probably has other plans."

Liu Feng's gaze flickered. He felt that Hiruzen Sarutobi was testing Uzumaki Akira.

If Uzumaki Akira agreed to let Kushina become a Jinchuriki, it would mean he had handed his daughter over to Konoha and that, in his heart, he stood with Konoha and the Hokage.

If not, then it would depend on what Hiruzen Sarutobi had in mind.

"Since you rejected it so decisively, Kushina probably won't become a Jinchuriki candidate. However, you need to be wary of the Uzumaki clan's internal situation."

Liu Feng's words made Uzumaki Akira's gaze sharpen. He was no fool; he understood what Liu Feng meant.

Although the Uzumaki clan had entered Konoha, did Hiruzen Sarutobi truly trust them completely?

Especially after Hiruzen Sarutobi had asked for Kushina to become a Jinchuriki and he had refused outright.

"If the Third Hokage tries to win over other members of the Uzumaki clan and succeeds, you may not be able to keep your position as clan head."

The Uchiha were now divided into two factions. One supported Liu Feng becoming the next clan head, while the other supported Uchiha Fugaku.

In truth, the current clan head was still young and strong. It would be a long time before the next clan head took office.

"Uzumaki Akira is an ally to me. It wasn't easy rescuing the Uzumaki clan, so when necessary, I should still help him."

"Mikoto really is suited to being a virtuous wife and loving mother," Liu Feng said with a smile.

Mikoto's cheeks flushed crimson at Liu Feng's words.

"You're teasing me again."

"I'm not teasing you. I'm serious. Oh, and Uncle Cloud told me before to prepare a bride price and propose marriage."

"R-Really?"

Mikoto's voice was so soft that Liu Feng could barely hear her.

"Hey, are you two going to eat or not? If you don't, I'll eat it all and won't leave any for you!" Kushina shouted fiercely at Mikoto and Liu Feng.

"You're like a hot-tempered pepper at such a young age. I'm afraid you won't be able to get married when you grow up."

"Hmph, if I can't get married, I'll marry you."

"Hehe, I wouldn't dare take you. I know you have the nickname Bloody Red Pepper at school."

"Damn it, don't mention Bloody Red Pepper!"

Kushina glared at Liu Feng angrily. Bloody Red Pepper was no flattering nickname. Whoever dared call her that at school would definitely get taught a lesson, but that only made her Bloody Red Pepper nickname spread even further.

Looking at that hateful Liu Feng, she grew angrier the more she thought about it. In the end, a vicious impulse rose in her heart. She grabbed his hand and bit down hard.

Within the System Space, Liu Feng was considering whose projection to challenge.

There were still six projections Liu Feng could challenge: the Ten-Tails Projection, Senju Hashirama Projection, Ōnoki Projection, Uchiha Madara's Eternal Mangekyo Projection, Senju Tobirama Projection, and Uchiha Liu Feng's Mangekyo Projection.

"The Ten-Tails, Senju Hashirama, and Uchiha Madara—I definitely can't beat any of those three."

What Liu Feng coveted most was the Ten-Tails' power. If he could obtain all of the Ten-Tails' Chakra, wouldn't he ascend to the Six Paths level in a single step?
