"In truth, Konoha couldn't possibly defeat us. Right now, they're only holding on by force. Whether in the number of ninja or other aspects, we surpass Konoha."
Ōnoki began his analysis. Their number of ninja was several times Konoha's. Even though Konoha had received another wave of reinforcements, the gap between them remained enormous.
"So there's no need for us to keep dragging this out with Konoha. Gather all our forces and launch a full-scale assault on the Konoha Ninja."
Continuing to drag things out would bring no benefit to the Three Ninja Villages Allied Forces. The supplies they were consuming on the battlefield were no small expense—they were all hard cash.
War was fought with money, and Konoha had the richest Land of Fire backing it. Even combined, they might not be able to match Konoha economically.
Most of the Land of Wind was desert, making it dirt poor. One only had to look at the chaos within the Land of Rain to know it was too poor to even put food on the table.
Only the Land of Earth was doing somewhat better, but it was definitely no match for the Land of Fire. Even together, they would be crushed by the Land of Fire. That was why they had attacked Konoha and the Land of Fire.
"After gathering all our forces, who will command them?"
The Third Kazekage asked Ōnoki.
The three sides all had their own schemes, so they had never been able to assemble their ninja forces into one unified army. That was also why Konoha had been able to hold out for so long.
If they had truly united and trusted one another, Konoha would have collapsed long ago.
"Of course I'll be the commander-in-chief."
Ōnoki volunteered without hesitation. The Third Kazekage was
