Tsunade attacked Orochimaru over his use of Impure World Reincarnation to summon her grandfathers, but he escaped by scattering into white snakes. After returning to Kirigakure with Liu Feng, she left Orochimaru alive, and he ordered Kabuto Yakushi to contact Uchiha Sasuke.

• Liu Feng told Orochimaru that Tsunade had come looking for him, and Tsunade demanded to know whether he had summoned her grandfathers with Impure World Reincarnation.
• Tsunade punched Orochimaru through his laboratory and attacked him with Wood Style.
• Orochimaru turned into white snakes and escaped while Tsunade burned the base; Liu Feng told her Orochimaru had survived.
• Tsunade chose not to pursue Orochimaru, and Liu Feng used Yomotsu Hirasaka to take her back to Kirigakure.
