"No, I can get downstairs myself."
"No." Jiang Xun looked serious. "What if you fall again and pin it on me?"
Jiang Zixing's smile grew strained. He lowered his eyes dejectedly and murmured, "Second Brother, are you still blaming me? I really have explained it so many times..."
Jiang Xun found this amusing. He chuckled, though his voice remained gentle. "I don't blame you. How would I dare?"
"Starting with the snide remarks first thing in the morning?" Jiang Huaijin approached from across the hall, having heard their exchange from a distance. He stopped in front of Jiang Xun, bent his index finger, and tapped him on the forehead. "Feeling better? Back to causing trouble?"
His expression was unreadable; it was hard to tell whether he was angry.
In the past, if he had seen Jiang Xun picking on Jiang Zixing, his face would already have darkened as he started scolding him.
Now Jiang Huaijin's attitude had changed, and anyone with eyes could see it.
Jiang Xun stretched, his tone lazy and utterly unconcerned. "I'm starving. I'm heading downstairs."
