"What did you say? You want me to marry Ao Su?" Lin Ruoshui laughed in anger when she heard the news. "Do you have a death wish?"
Lin Ruoshui's answer left Venerable Jie Kong Wugou feeling profoundly disrespected.
"Lin Ruoshui, don't forget that you're a member of Spirit Mountain too. This is the Buddha Head's wish. Do you not respect the Buddha Head?"
Lin Ruoshui chuckled. She really didn't have much respect for the Buddha Head.
The Buddha Head was the leader of the Buddha Faction.
She was firmly on the Bodhisattva Faction's side.

"Venerable Jie Kong Wugou, do you remember what you were called a thousand years ago?" Lin Ruoshui asked in return.
Venerable Jie Kong Wugou's expression changed slightly. "Lin Ruoshui, what are you trying to say?"
Lin Ruoshui said mockingly, "A thousand years ago, you were called Bodhisattva Wugouguang, the third bodhisattva to Manjushri Bodhisattva's right. You were originally Manjushri Bodhisattva's emissary, a manifestation of his emptiness wisdom, also known as Wugouguang Youth, with the esoteric title Dust-Leaving Vajra. At Spirit Mountain, you guided all living beings to cast off their troubles and forget the myriad desires of the mortal world. You enlightened the world through the turning of karma across past, future, and present, bringing all living beings into the World of Light. Venerable, have you forgotten all of that?"
Venerable Jie Kong Wugou's tone changed too. "Lin Ruoshui, you know as well as I do that all of that was a thousand years ago."
"So you thought you could switch allegiances? Did you never consider that the bodhisattvas might come storming back?"
Venerable Jie Kong Wugou's tone also turned mocking. "The bodhisattvas have fallen. How could they come storming back?"
