Urashiki smiled and nodded. "That's right, just a vessel. But Lord Isshiki's soul is still inside him. He hasn't completely perished!"
Not completely dead?
Momoshiki smiled, amusement in his eyes. "It seems he ran into some particularly rotten luck!"
Jigen's expression showed no additional change at those sarcastic words.
"I never expected so many of Lord Isshiki's clansmen to have survived!"
"And you all seem quite powerful, too!"
Momoshiki looked arrogantly at the man before him. "You're nothing but a lowly vessel, yet you dare speak to us in that tone?"
Jigen did not grow angry at those words. Not even a ripple crossed his face.
"Every word I say represents Lord Isshiki's will. For certain reasons, Lord Isshiki is sleeping inside me and cannot show himself at present, so I will convey his wishes on his behalf!"
Hearing the explanation, Momoshiki frowned. "Since he's already found a vessel, why doesn't he simply reincarnate?"
"Because this body is too weak. It isn't Lord Isshiki's Perfect Vessel!"
Not a Perfect Vessel?
That explained it. Without a Perfect Vessel, even if he forcibly reincarnated, this body wouldn't be able to withstand that enormous power. It would collapse and die in just a few days.
No wonder that fellow Isshiki was still clinging on like a parasite.
"Then why have you come to us? Since you haven't even found a perfect vessel, shouldn't you hurry up and search the world for one?"
Jigen sighed helplessly, a trace of weariness in his voice. "That was originally Lord Isshiki's plan as well. Regardless of what happened in the outside world, finding a perfect vessel as quickly as possible came first!"
"But after sensing Lord Kinshiki's presence, Lord Isshiki decided to put his affairs aside for the time being and come out to speak with you!"
