Inside the Fairy Tail guild, amid the chaotic cheers and shouts, Makarov stood by the second-floor railing, meticulously straightening his suit and tie.
He had made a special trip to get his hair styled today, though it hardly looked any different, aside from being a little shinier than usual.
Yesterday, he had gone out of his way to give the new guild hall a proper setup. It hadn't even lasted a day before the little brats had reduced it to its old state.
After giving the troublemakers a thorough dressing-down, he had finally resigned himself to it.
Expecting anything from this bunch was a mistake in itself. Today, he would have to carry the show himself.
He knew perfectly well what sort of reputation Fairy Tail had outside its walls. The compensation bills and complaint letters that arrived every month were enough to give him a headache.
He always told the children that Wizards should follow their hearts and needn't concern themselves with what others thought.
But in his position, for the peace of the magic world-and, more importantly, for these children's futures-he couldn't simply ignore public opinion altogether.
And today was a perfect opportunity to turn their image around!
Sorcerer Weekly Sosara came out every Wednesday. It was a magic magazine that introduced newly released magic products and covered popular guilds, and its photo spreads of beautiful female Wizards had made it a huge hit.
This time, they were preparing a special issue dedicated to Fairy Tail, and today was the day they were sending a reporter over to interview them!
The magazine sold nationwide. If this special issue presented a respectable, proper Fairy Tail for all of Fiore to see, it would surely have a very positive impact on the guild.
