A short, kindly old man chuckled as he spoke up in Fairy Tail's defense:
"Now, now, wasn't it already in the report? The commotion happened because they were trying to capture that criminal-Bora. Besides, didn't that Blanc fellow stay behind to clean up?"
"He stayed behind? He just happened to get caught!" Another Council Member angrily slammed the table.
"They're all idiots, yet quite a few of them are exceptionally talented."
"That's what makes them such a headache..."
"We're truly caught between a rock and a hard place."
Amid the arguing, one Council Member looked toward the member seated beside him.
He was a young, arrogant-looking man with a distinctive red marking on his face, leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed in thought.
He seemed to have thought of someone who displeased him. His brows were tightly knitted, and his expression was decidedly hostile.
"You're being quiet again. You used to speak up for them all the time. How come you've kept silent about their affairs ever since that Blanc fellow met you?"
"Did something happen between you two, Siegrain?"
