At the sight, Gray and Lyon both lowered their heads, their teeth clenched tight. Their vision blurred, and tears silently slipped down their cheeks.
The final scene took place inside a warm little wooden cabin.
A young Ur held a wailing baby in her arms. It was Ultear, only recently born.
Ur carefully pressed her cheek against the baby's delicate skin. Tears poured down her face, yet she wore the happiest, most beautiful smile of her life.
"This child... is proof of my life. She is my tears-Ur's tears."
Their journey ended, and the four were ejected from the ice, returning to the dim underground cavern.
Gray and Lyon stood silently where they were, gazing at the woman kneeling on the ground with immensely complicated expressions, filled with sympathy and sorrow.
The moment she returned, Ultear's knees gave way, and she dropped to the ground. At some point, her face had become drenched in tears.
She pressed both hands firmly over her face, trying to stifle the sobs that threatened to overwhelm her. But the hatred she had harbored for over a decade crumbled in that instant, and immense pain and guilt nearly drowned her.
