Ying Huaixu had been bragging with a few people, but now he found himself in a place of darkness, utterly bewildered.
Looking at Ye Ningshuang lying on the ground, then at the equally bewildered shadow, Ying Huaixu sank into thought.
Where the fuck had I ended up?
What did it mean, the boss music had started? What did it mean, I had already begun the challenge?
Was this fucking right?
Wasn't this supposed to be a cutscene?
Wasn't Ye Ningshuang supposed to face this alone?
So why was I here?
Watching the utterly lost Ying Huaixu, the shadow suddenly burst out laughing.
"I wondered what sort of person you'd found. Turns out he's another Meridian Opening ant. This is what gave you your confidence?"
The shadow looked at Ye Ningshuang and spoke with a hint of mockery.
Then she turned back to Ying Huaixu.
"Boy, keep your nose out of this if you don't want to die!"
Ying Huaixu scratched his head.
"Hold on a moment!"
With that, Ying Huaixu walked over to Ye Ningshuang.
"What's going on with you? Why are you lying down?"
Lying on the ground, Ye Ningshuang sounded a little aggrieved. "I can't beat her!"
Ying Huaixu's brain stalled a little.
How was he supposed to put this?
According to the game's plot, Ye Ningshuang really couldn't beat her.
But Ye Ningshuang eventually discovered that the shadow was one with her.
If Ye Ningshuang died, the shadow couldn't survive either.
In the end, Ye Ningshuang threatened to take them both down, forcing the shadow into a temporary partnership with her.
Ying Huaixu couldn't just tell Ye Ningshuang to go threaten mutual destruction, and that the shadow would definitely back down first.
But that was what Ye Ningshuang was like.
