Xia Shou entered the Blood Demon House to gain the power he needed to resist his sinking fate, and after dying and rewinding, he destroyed the Blood Demon. Back at the Bureau, he learned more about the Death Record Notebook and the Root Sea, then planned to visit Wang Long with Su Weiyu.

• Xia Shou joined the Containment Bureau as a Cleaner and accepted Shangguan Yan’s mission to investigate the Blood Demon House in exchange for special blood.
• Xia Shou entered the house, followed Death Road through its warped rooms, and devoured the corpses of fallen Cleaners to gain new abilities.
• Xia Shou became trapped while devouring a charred corpse, then watched the Blood Demon attack Su Weiyu and the Tamer before Alice killed him and triggered his rewind.
• Xia Shou returned to the house’s entrance, changed his route, and devoured the bodies in the classroom before reuniting with Su Weiyu and confronting the Blood Demon.
• Xia Shou died fighting the Blood Demon, rewound again, and used what he had learned to destroy it just before Death Road went on cooldown.
• Xia Shou completed devouring the Blood Demon, escaped the house with Su Weiyu, and concealed the truth from the Execution Squad while the Dragon Lizard chose not to eat him.
• Xia Shou returned to the Bureau with Su Weiyu, learned that the Death Record Notebook was an indestructible S-class anomaly connected to the Root Sea, and arranged to visit Wang Long at Central Hospital.

Xia Shou and his companions entered a closed-domain hospital, where they uncovered Idrisu’s treatment scheme and fought their way through doctors tied to five keys. Xia Shou sealed Idrisu and escaped, then learned more about the root sea and the dangers of his shadow-devouring ability.

• Xia Shou investigated Liu Guangyao’s dreams and discovered that the hospital had fallen into a closed domain where a Yellow-Skinned Patient spread a deadly illness.
• Xia Shou stopped the patient without killing him, then used Alice and Blood Rampage to remove and regenerate his diseased organs.
• Xia Shou, Su Weiyu, Wang Long, and Liu Guangyao entered the other side of the hospital and found records explaining that its director had built the domain to use patients in Idrisu’s treatments.
• Idrisu offered to cure Xia Shou and Su Weiyu if they became its assistants, but they refused and continued searching the sanatorium.
• An invisible attacker killed Liu Guangyao, and Xia Shou and Su Weiyu fought the Eye, Ear, Hand, Foot, and Heart Doctors to obtain their keys.
• Xia Shou and Su Weiyu found Idrisu treating a girl, and Xia Shou imprisoned the creature behind a White Bone Door in his shadow, gaining control of the five keys.
• Xia Shou returned to the hospital, learned that more than fifty people had survived, and found that Su Weiyu planned to move into his dorm room.
• Xia Shou consulted the Death Record Notebook, which warned him about the root sea and advised him to exploit the conflict between the Blood Demon’s desire to slaughter and Idrisu’s desire to heal.
